if theres anything i hate about Nintendo, its their audacity to push the "so close and yet so far"-ness in the Smash Bros. series.
If you're gonna show us elements of a japanese exclusive game in a game you release worldwide and FLAUNT IT TO US, FREAKING SELL IT TO US.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.See, if these were obscure titles, I'd understand. But Last Story? All the Mistwalker games released in the west have sold decently.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comMeh, gonna start learning japanese language, not even the dubs or the translations are decent anymore

Funy, they are becoming more interesting then Final Fantasy and even Dragon Quest
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/I am sad, but I'll get over it. I have plenty of games to catch up on, and a bunch I still want to buy or am planning to buy once they're released. Even if quite a few of them are probably not getting translated (namely, Valkyria Chronicles 3, Tales of Versus, and Last Story, and the fact that FF Type-0 hasn't showed up at all in the West as far as I know makes me slightly concerned).
Also, I hate when I get to a topic and the conversation I want to respond to ended several pages ago, but heck, I'll respond anyways. I don't really find JRP Gs that anime-ish. Or at least Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. The Tales series is pretty anime-like, but the other thing that comes to mind when I think of an anime-ish game is Blaz Blue, a fighting game, out of the ones I've played. Anyways, I've tried really hard to get into anime, but the over-the-top fanservice and stupid humor in a lot of them just drives me away.
Sure, Final Fantasy has fanservice, but at least it doesn't wave it around in your face constantly (well, there's X-2, but I haven't played that.) Now that I think about it, though, it's not the anime art style (which I like) or the often labyrinthine plots (hey, I like Kingdom Hearts) that drive me away from anime. It's the character archetypes. I know a lot of people would disagree with me, but whoever writes the characters in Final Fantasy does a good job at at least not making them insufferably irritating and unlikeable, IMO.

Welcome to th:|I have 2 questions...........................
1)How do I bypass the region-locking? I don't want to buy another Wii, and apparently theres a program or something, or some micro SD or something...theres something called "Wii Freeloader" which has been blocked by a recent upadte. Which ones are proven to work? No idea how to get one though...if they won't localize a game, I'll find other ways to get it.
2)Is the only way to buy foreign games to import them?

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I don't know if the Freeloader still works. If nothing else, homebrew is required if you want to play imported games — if just to downgrade the Wii system firmware back to where the Freeloader actually works, or otherwise mucking with some settings and playing it normally.
And "buying foreign games" is literally the exact definition of "importing games," so I'm not exactly sure what you're asking there.
The blind man walking off the cliff is not making a leap of faith. He might be asking if there are any stores within the States that would carry such things there at the physical store itself. Possibly along with a larger online library of products that would involve you the customer going through the import process. So instead of ordering it and waiting for it to be shipped you could go to this store and find it already there in stock and shelved because they just do that there. The store does the importing for you. Unless it's an item they don't carry in their US branch stores.
A few stores do things like this with manga and such. I have never seen it with games though save a few GBA games I would run into in mostly now defunct stores for fans of Japanese pop culture.

If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahI was under the impression that Signed was not in the USA, considering comments relating to restricted access on Hulu etc.
Minus going to a specialized import store, I'm pretty sure you'd have to have it shipped to you. I don't know of any stores in my state that sell imported games, but we're not exactly known for that up here.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Yeah, I've actually seen numerous Japanese specialty stores selling imported games (I remember seeing Brawl in the Japanese store across the Gamestop in the mall a month before it was officially released here. That was a crazy temptation to fight.).
Rest of post deleted for no-longer relevance.

The blind man walking off the cliff is not making a leap of faith.Exactly, this. Except outside the US.
I've had....really bad experience with customs and anything export related...
So do EB games or Game Spot or Best Buy import for you? Any specific places in particular?
On a similar note. Bottled WATER is deemed too dangerous to carry around now! I blame America and their Minor Injury Over Reaction.
I have...little to no experience with this kind of stuff...what's an easy "even a cave man can do it" way?
This is what sucks about gaming in the west...they rarely get the good games! Nothing but mostly junk like Mad World...so the only way to play some of the better games is to hack the Wii now.
Oh how I wish this is April 1st.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Hey, we still got Radiant Historia, and Muramasa. We don't get all junk, as far as localized Asian games go.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Funny thing is...I initially meant to say "mostly junk" at first, but I ended up editing and forgot to include "mostly"...
Radiant Historia sounds fun...but no stores is selling the damn thing.
HOLY F*CKING SHIT! INSTANT 10/10
I must buy this game once I find it! Whatever those geniuses who made EO is working on, it MUST be good!

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I found the last copy in my state, apparently. Haven't had time to play RH yet, but I'm told it's very good, and I'm willing to give it a go. The approach it has towards time travel sounds very interesting, and the combat looks at least un-boring, which is a plus.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.
Word of caution: it has a very limited number of areas and music tracks, and you're required to go back and forth through these areas quite a few times throughout the game.
I don't know, it just feels kind of...budgety. The writing is great, but it kind of falls short in terms of presentation and assets.
I mean, on the surface there isn't much difference between your average JRPG and your average anime. That's enough to put some people off.
I don't think there's ever been much overlap between people who play JRP Gs and people who hate anime, but I think that this comment does single out a major issue, namely that there isn't that much difference between the average JRPG and the average anime these days. The focus of the genre seems to have shifted to style over substance, the games with large budgets seem to mostly pour it into visual presentation, and relatively few studios seem to be approaching video games as a distinct medium with their own unique strengths and weaknesses as a storytelling medium.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.

I guess the only solution is to... Murder all the casuals i guess. Even out the numbers.
You are not alone.
