Someone really don't like the Wii.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I won't abandon you Wii...I still have all that other shit I still want to get for you...So much shit...I love you dearly...SO DEARLY.
But I want a Wii U and a 3DS too...
...FUCK.
Nintendo. I hate you. You own my soul and my bank account.

If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahI love nintendo games. No question. And the Wii has lots of nintendo games. But my gaming diet needs to branch out. I like First-Person Shooter games. I like Hack and Slash games. I like Survival Horror games. I like a Wide-Open Sandbox. Nintendo's never made anything like that. Despite the fact that they published the Trope Codifier on modern FPS games back in the N64 days.
That's what the third party support is for. Having both Nintendo's classic series and a solid stream of games made by people that aren't nintendo has been a dream unfulfilled since the SNES. -Sigh-

You are not alone. And reason why I'm still meh is because I like VC games xD
And that I have PC for other games.
Though, I agree that it would be nice if Wii had those kind of games, there is that problem I don't have enough money
So I won't mind since there is already crap I can't get because there is too much of it.
Nintendo more or less hits all of my key interests gaming genre wise so I'm good...Very good. The PSP will soon become my SRPG thing though...I need more survival horror games too...A large backlog of older shit for the PS 2 and PSX.
And Fatal Frame 4. But that's for the Wii.
HELLO IMPORTS AND WII HACKING.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan Chah@Signed: It's more that I'm frustrated that Nintendo hasn't learned anything since the NES era, and made a console that had plenty of potential a wreck because of some of their insanely backwards policies and terrible marketing decisions. The thing is, I want the Wii, the Wii U, and Nintendo to succeed, but first and foremost, I want Nintendo to start making good decisions and not screwing over their customers.
I mean, I understand that the Wii is targeted as much at 'casual players', if not more so, as it is to 'gamers'. The problem is, the latter group probably is most likely going to be happy with only a handful of games. They may even be buying it for a single game only, like Wii Fit. Which is great, but that means they're going to have a hard time justifying spending more money on new consoles and more games. Furthermore, Nintendo is now trying market towards 'gamers' again (most likely because Wii sales have plummeted), but because they've focused so hard on 'casual players', and because they've not shown any signs of changing the policies that have caused them so many problems, I think 'gamers' are going to have a hard time justifying getting the Wii U as well. It's kind of a fiasco of bad decision making.
The worst part is, now that they're trying to market to 'gamers' again, they're STILL actively avoiding releasing games that would appeal to them, even when there's every reason to do so. They've basically started doing the equivalent asking an ex to come back to them while still giving the ex the finger.
^Aon has a PSP? You shouldn't have revealed that! Now I have more games to nag you about! Buah!

"There is very, very little chance of them releasing these games at this point. The wording is pretty clear in their announcement. They have no plans to release the games, and it's unlikely they ever will"
I disagree. I sent a letter to Nintendo, and they said that, although they have no plans at this moment, they do care about customers, and they said that "my comments have been documented and made available for other departments here to use as they see fit."
If fan letters keep coming, they'll likely release the games individually or as a compilation on the Wii U.
I once sent message about some game that didn't get released and I got reply like that, except in finnish o-o
ANYWAY, yeah, you are being too optimistic xD Besides, you are overestimating amount of fans and even if you would find that many letter senders, most of them wouldn't buy the game anyway proving their point true xD
Shirow:
You're forgetting Metroid Prime for FPS.
To play, simply make the assumption that these games won't be released in North America despite the absolutely massive fan pressure!
Yes! I am confident that they won't be able to ignore the fans' cries for Mother 3! We just need to- wait, what games were we talking about?
I have a message from another time...^Metroid Prime is honestly FPS only because its in first person view, its rather different from other games so its more first person adventure game. Anyhoo, there is Conduit and Conduit 2 for wii, but those are average.
It's true that my collection of Wii games isn't as big as my PS2 and PS3 collection. But that's actually a good thing...
One the other hand, I have more DS than PSP games.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.I have more DS games than all my other games combined...and it has nothing to do with price.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary.""Yes! I am confident that they won't be able to ignore the fans' cries for Mother 3! We just need to- wait, what games were we talking about?"
Except MOTHER 3 is only being kept from release in the U.S. due to legal issues.
Some day the world will end because an Obstructive Bureaucrat wouldn't authorize an anti-asteroid missile launch because someone else forgot to sign the right papers.
And we still won't get Mother 3.
You are not alone. And that's why I got an EZ Flash cart. A pricey investment when all was said and done, but mmmmm... I can play Mother 3 on my DS. With no lag. And it is beautiful.
It'd be nice if I could do it legally, though. Just to show Itoi some support since I can't kidnap him and force him to write more games.

ouch
I have a message from another time...
