So the rumor is the the games are alredy localized, and Nintendo has been trolling us the entire time? [lol]

This could be an explanation why Xenoblade(under its working title) is still up for pre-order on Amazon.

I'm still a bit suspicious...I mean, what was that Facebook post all about then?

It's usually not a good business tactic to pull something like that...and being a big company, it's all about business and money.

It's probably because, assuming the games are being brought over at all, they can't say anything before the official anouncement, and so go the neutral route of being noncommital. It's far from new; Atlus did the exact same thing regarding Catherine.

They did say that the answer was closer to "not now" or "we can't say" rather than "never".

So, "at this time" actually means "for this week" or whatever?

In the Hardcore Gaming 101 article for Action 52, the writer said that the large amount of shovelware for the Wii is a result of "gold rush developers". Ladies and gentlemen, the Wii is a receptacle.

I honestly think that there are fewer great Wii games than there are great Nintendo Game Cube games. sad

A receptacle? Like a bucket, or a bowl?

[up][up] Wouldn't it be better to compare the Wii's lineup last year to the Gamecube games listed?

Aw, c'mon, guys, don't be such pessimists. I'm sure if Operation Rainfall continues to pressure Nintendo, we'll see these games real soon.

Maybe they're just waiting to announce the games until a major press conference, like E3 2012?

If Nintendo of America releases these games, it probably was planning to do that from the start, I haven't really ever seen any project work.

"Wouldn't it be better to compare the Wii's lineup last year to the Gamecube games listed? "

Why? Grading 2 system's final Christmas sales periods should be comparable.

Zennistrad, E3 2012 is going to be the release summer of the Wii U.

In other words, in that year, Reggie will come to bury the Wii. Not to praise it.

Haven't you ever heard of a Daddy System? It's quite possible that the games could be released on either the Wii or Wii U.

^^That would pull attention off the Wii U, which is pretty obviously going to be the main focus of Nintendo's E3 2012 conference, just like it was this year.

There is very, very little chance of them releasing these games at this point. The wording is pretty clear in their announcement. They have no plans to release the games, and it's unlikely they ever will. They didn't say they have nothing to announce, or that they can't confirm or deny the release of those games. They specifically said they're not planning to release them, which means they haven't even started the process of translating them (since they most likely would not use No E's translations), and with only a year left in the console's life, you're better off not getting your hopes up.

Probably because it was the shortest-lived console this generation and had little first or third party support (aside from, of course, the $50 flash games)?
