I like how Pepsiman is the Butt-Monkey in nearly all of his commercials.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceSlamming into windows, getting his face squirted with water from some brat, falling off the edge of a mountain, getting his head stuck at the bottom of a pool, being used as a punching bag, turning into a cactus, being hit by a Coca Cola truck, having his face pulled off and running into ghosts.
It doesn't sound like much fun being Pepsiman.

I'm from Piedmont. No relation with Piedmon, mind you!Now that's what I call an awesome advertising campaign. I don't see why they only ran these in Japan. I mean, most of the commercials are in English, so it's not like localization would be a problem. Even the video game is mostly in English. What's up with that?
I'm still jealous that Japan kept Segata Sanshiro
to itself. Can you imagine what would happen if Pepsiman and Segata teamed up? The sheer manly Japanese marketing power would be so strong that everyone would go bankrupt from buying Pepsi and Sega products. I don't even like Pepsi (it's my least favorite soda, as is Coke), but these commercials make me want one really badly.
If I ever get a Japanese Playstation, Pepsiman is the first game I'm getting for it.

But I agree with you, Pepsi could easily rerun these commercials in other countries to get reactions like, "What are these wacky Asian hijinks? This grabs my attention!"
