Hey, if you don't like the class name, feel free to call for a vote. I personally don't really care either way. My character will just say it's a human idea, and write them off as crazies.

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.

Yeah, my general reaction to that was just running with it and having everyone write it off as "These humans are crazy!".

Besides, as far as ship class names go, Fluttershy isn't really that bad. A bit weird, yes, but like I said, these humans are crazy.

Can be used at low power as an alternate form of communication to source. Can be 'idled' but 'cutting' the tether means it cannot be re-established unless positioned physically nearby the source. Ideal for running 'surfaced' (outside of stealth), when knowledge of location is not an issue. Standard protocol to idle when in combat, and to cut tether when absolute secrecy is required.
      • Indirectly connected to power grid; must go through a monitored intermediate stage, to prevent unexpected power spikes from destroying the ship. One of the onboard AI systems monitors the link and cuts it when it feels appropriate, link is automatically cut by spikes over a certain magnitude.
  • Emergency Evacuation:
    • 6 8-man escape pods.
    • 3 starboard, 3 port, immediately behind the bow (bridge) section.

Ah, no, no! We can't give up now, after all the work we've put in already! I really want to see this through somehow, and I hope I'm not the only one who wants that. I'm not the only one who still wants to get this up and running, right?

On a lighter note, the ship looks pretty good. Far more detail than I expected, but I'm a big fan of attention to detail so, uh, yeah.

So, what else is there to establish? We've got some races, tech sorted out, ship, general feel of the setting, big plot-driving thingymajig; what more?

For character signups, what exactly would be the requirements? I'm thinking something like:

Subject Name: (Herpaderp)

Subject Physical Specifications: (Species, age, height/weight, etc.)

Subject Notable Skills: (Their training and various unique skills)

Subject Affliated With Organisation: (What they're allied with)

Subject Personal Dossier: (A brief summary of any notable personality traits and missions accomplished)

We have room for two aerospace pilots, but I assume their fighters will be racial therefore up to the individual players to decide. I haven't designed my own yet and will have a racial-unique one for my character. (unless more than one slips in before me)

I do ask that Power Armor be controlled by simple indirect neural interface, so it doesn't require special training. In that case everyone can get power armor, and supersoldiers would have their own unique variants custom-tailored to them.
