Okay, first time posting in the forums and all, yadda yadda, I've just got one brief question. Is there a name for that noise that fingers make when they slide along the strings of a guitar quickley? I just started thinking about this when I was listening to Stay The Same (featuring Andreya Triana, of course) by Bonobo.

It's either that or, if you hear a longer, harsher variant on said sound, it might be a pick scrape (which occurs when a guitarist drags their plectrum along the strings in the direction of the headstock).

But since you specified fingers I'll assume it's just ordinary fret noise.

Fret noise. Very easy to make. Personally, I like hearing it. Some find it annoying.

no one will notice that I changed this
