Certain EULA clauses can be found not to be binding. It's part of contract law; as far as most first world legal systems go, you can't enforce a contract that involves doing things that are illegal.

But again, it's not cut and dried an IANAL, so I'm probably going to shut up now. Yeah the guy was an idiot for not using the safe system. But I still don't like the implications.

No, the implication that if you fall victim to a scam involving PLEX that someone might sue/press charges for fraud against the scammer and win. Or similarly involve CCP as an entity in such a case. The legal system doesn't take "the defendant was an idiot" as an excuse.

When you have RL money involved, you're walking a fine (and very blurry) line between the rules of internet spaceships and the rules of Real Life that frown on the sorts of things you can get away with doing in internet spaceships.

so the fact that they're announcing player anchorable (not CORPORATION anchorable) structures for the upcoming winter expansion really REALLY pleases me.

I'm not sure if he's attempting some brilliant satire of dumb internet videos knowing full well how creepy it is for a man of his age to make said videos, or is truly insane... which, if true, would terrify the living fuck outta me.

That's. . . pretty sane compared to some of the players I met. I don't think I've played another online game with such diversity in player's ages.

He's probably a miner. Staring at virtual rocks all day tends to numb the soul a bit.

depends on where you're mining, I find LADAR mining in wormholes keeps one sharp :3

4.8trillion ISK in ships at the current mark.

it's gone up to 60 titans down. I'm not really concerned either way. Dead supers are the best supers.

The small visible ships in that image are dreadnaught-class. I've been in for over seven years and can't even decent ante for this.

From what I've heard, the game time to USD conversions would probably put the total value of all the ships fielded to at least a million dollars. Some dark part of me wants to see what would happen if there was suddenly some catastrophic hardware failure on CCP's side at the height of the fight. . .

The game would die, basically. They already have blown it several times in mass fights recently, at this point if the node gave out they'd be in deep doodoo.

Went for 20 hours plus post-DT executions of those who didn't manage to extract.

the big fleet fights take a special kind of person to play through anyways, most people who join up for EPIK SPAYZ BATTLES will be crushed when they discover that said battle will invariably take place at 10% tidi and 1 FPS

I tried watching some of the livestream and it didn't look much different from that screenshot posted earlier. 'Cept the screenshots looks more exciting.

yeah, they're so damn boring to watch. I don't even bother. MINING is more interesting.

Protip: There were multiple other fleet battles ongoing to lock down N3/PL staging systems. Get in on a bomber or secondary objective fleet if you want to have fights that aren't Tidi.

I'm not enamored enough with current sov mechanics to actually care about nullsec. Lowsec is pretty much the lowest I bother going, for everything else, there's wormholes.
