Kai legitimately died like three times in that fight. He was knocked down into the stadium, almost got sucked into the black hole, bled from his arm, torso, and face, got hit with Brooklyn's dark aura like 3 times, and dropped down on his knees like five times. How he recovered from that is still a mystery.
That and if the anime followed the manga, we wouldn't have gotten Brooklyn and the Justice Five. The mangaka created them initially but didn't have time for them so they were included in the anime. Ming Ming and Crusher got a Race Lift, Mystel's original version was much smaller, Garland still looks kinda weird, and Brooklyn looked like a weird mix of Ozuma, Tyson, and Zeo.
Alright, I'll probably watch the OG and V Force next. But damn, OG is kinda ugly, and the number of people who hate V Force intrigues me, so since I mostly remember the last quarter, it'll be interesting, that's for sure.
I recall being shocked at how brutal Kai vs. Brooklyn was for the former.
Think the only the only other match to get that physically intense was Tyson vs. Kane.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
