For me, moviegoing is usually a social experience: be it to discuss the awesome on-screen, talk about things that the movie reminds us of, or just to snark the Hell out of it. However, I'm quite thankful that none of my friends were available to see Black Swan with me. I know the title says Scenes, but I think the whole movie applies here.
Nothing was more awkward than a living-room viewing of Brokeback Mountain with the whole family. Oooooh lordy. I think I was the only one who had any real idea of what we were getting into because I'd had to read the story for school a few years earlier, so I was able to reach over and protect my niece's virtue. Everyone else was on their own.
Unexpected gay sex scenes: brings the family together in awkward silence. Never watching anything with a sex scene with them ever again.

Did you see A History of Violence? The actors actually got bruised filming a sex scene done on stairs (even though they were wearing pads).
I have problems watching movies with my mom if there are particularly explicit sex scenes or stuff of that nature. I could probably never feel right watching Black Swan or Brokeback Mountain with her. Lordy, that would be uncomfortable. I have a hard time letting her listen to music with swearing in it either.
Sex scenes in general. I don't even like to watch them on my own honestly.

I once saw a comment in which someone said that Midnight Cowboy would be a PG-13 today. I had to tell him that he clearly forgot about this part.

Whenever you watch films with people, have you ever come across a scene that you just find uncomfortable to watch when others are around. Do you ever try to inexplicably come up with reasons to leave the room as soon as the scene in question starts up. The reason can be sadness, awkwardness anything. Just scenes that you find hard to watch with others.
For me there's the transformation scene in An American Werewolf In London and the Donkey sequence from Pinnochio.
