Well I think the average fansub would get uploaded in within the first day after it aired over Japan. Of course, there's always a few exceptions. Damn it, where's my Tamayura: Hitotose episode 2?
I've been getting green and pinkish smudges appearing on the screen of the videos I've watched, mainly during pans or dark scenes. The videos from Commie are the ones giving me this trouble, so I'm wondering if this is a problem on their end with the encoding, or are my own decoder's settings not fully right? I updated my version of CCCP just recently, so I'm just wondering if I need to fix something with its settings.

Considering that I came across this problem in some of the videos I've watched here and there, I think it's Commie's problem.

Nope. I'ved come across that too when converting 10bit files. Try changing your player's settings.
Do you have any suggestions as to which settings I should look at? It's admittedly Greek to me.

I admit I never tried changing my settings yet. So I can't give you an answer for that.

I have watched the same video on different players just to see that the colored spots show up every time. It's not the player, it has to be the original video. Besides, I've never really changed the settings on the players so that doesn't explain the occasional video with those spots.

Follow me on tumblr!Using K-lite with Media player classic and I managed to get rid of the whole green smudges.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Well, while K-Lite hasn't completely eliminated the problem, but it has mitigated it. I guess it's the 10-bit aspect that's causing the issue.

My Megaman and MegaTen RPG LiveblogsOkay here are my thoughts on the series so far:
Fate Zero: A+ Greatly entertaining. I can’t find anything to fault.
Guilty Crown: A+ Code Geass is one of my three favourite anime and from the first episode this looks like it could be even better. Also the music is brilliant.
Mirai Nikki: A- One of my favourite manga and this adaptation looks to be going well. It does seem lacking in some way I can’t place though.
Shinryaku!Ika Musume – Season Two: B Funny as always but not quite as good as the first season.
C3: B- Ranked D after the first episode, the second episode was a great improvement. I have a feeling this will be of variable quality throughout.
Kyoukai Senjou No Horizon: C+ Very funny and has some interesting things here and there but I am not sure how it is going to play out.
Maji De Watashi Ni Koishinasai!!: C+ I am unsure what to think of this. It is entertaining and has some hints at some interesting parts but it is still too early to say really.
Hunter X Hunter (2011): C My first exposure to this series and it has some potential.
Maken Ki: C Entertaining in a mindless way, again it has some potential but this seems to be buried in fanservice.
Okay, so far for me.
Ben To : A+ (episode 1) - The premise seems ridiculous no matter how you look at it. I mean, fighting over half-priced bentos? *picks up a discounted bento* What's so special about th- *gets pummeled by a roundhouse kick* ... ... ... Anyways, so far the series hasn't taken itself seriously (and hopefully it never will) and that's probably why it works, along with the awesome action scenes. Judging from this poll
, this series seems to have the best chance of being a surprise hit.
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai : B+ (episode 1) - Maybe it's just because I'm just getting lazy with these at this point (second to last one being written), but I really have nothing to say so far.
C3 : B- /D+ (episode 1) / B+ (episode 2) - I haven't checked out the Light Novels or the manga yet so I treated the first episode as a comedic Slice of Life episode. It wasn't that bad in that retrospect, but considering this series, that was way out of left field. The second episode, on the other hand, had the feel that the series was supposed to have. I wonder if they are trying to mimic Higurashi?...
Fate Zero : C+ /A- (episode 1) - I'm new to Fate Stay Night, so I can't really say much. From a newbie's POV though, Fate Zero isn't the best installment to start with. For the noobs, the first episode is pretty much an Infodump and the slow pace doesn't help. (says the noob)
Guilty Crown : A- (episodes 1 and 2) - Fast paced and action packed, Guilty Crown started off with a bang. Even so, there was one thing that bugged me: it felt too familiar. I mean, I got Star Wars, Shitsurakuen, Evangelion, and Dantalian No Shoka vibes just off of the first episode. Even so, it was still very enjoyable. The quality was top notch in almost everything though. Considering how the second episode ends, the third episode might be somewhat different since the focus seems to shift a bit though.
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon : C /?? (episodes 1 and 2) - After watching the first two episodes, it feels like this anime will never get anywhere... except that they were apparently faithful to the Light Novels they were based on. Considering that the Light Novels get better down the line, it's better to keep an eye on this anime, assuming it does get good well before the end of its second season so it can continue.
Persona 4: The Animation : A (episode 1) - I only gotten into Persona 3 about a month before hand, so I don't know what's going to happen in Persona 4. Anyways, the fact that the anime mimicked the styles of the video games was a plus, although it will take a little while to get used to. On the other hand, the way the anime handled the Silent Hero part was somewhat mediocre.
Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle : B- (episodes 1 and 2) - So basically this is Professor Layton with an extra dose of Serious Business. Of course, a series like Professor Layton won't work as a TV series as demonstrated withPhi Brain. The viewers are given next to no time to attempt to solve the problems themselves without having to pause the video, which sort of ruins the gimmck. Add in the fact that the plot doesn't seem that captivating, this series probably won't be talked about much after it ends.
Tamayura: Hitotose : B+ (episodes 1 and 2) - For an Iyashikei series, the first episode felt really dry (or maybe it was just me). The second episode was a vast improvement.

Follow me on tumblr! So, the last few:
Un Go: Well animated, and that's about it. Irritating characters, stupid plot, and terrible pacing. May pick up later on, but I'm not sticking around for it
Guilty Crown: Good animation. Music is good but doesn't always fit, so that's a wash. Plot and characters have yet to really begin
Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam: Best first episode. Of course, it's GONZO and the original series was a (very pretty) clusterfuck, so I don't really trust that to last
