... It's the first movie's advertising all over again. This isn't gonna end well.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987As much as I loved the first movie (which was great), I doubt this will be any good. Than again, Kung Fu Panda 2 managed to be an Even Better Sequel, maybe this will too?
...Nah, I still doubt it.

From the trailer, it looks like that it is going to be a remake of the first (with the baby at the end being Mumble and Gloria's kid).
But then again, George Miller did give us The Road Warrior and that was an improved sequel.

More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Miller was supposed to do Justice League after the first Happy Feet but it got canceled so he probably wanted to make up for the work done for an unmade film with a breather project.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/It's true. George Miller was the attached director of the Justice League movie. It would have closer to Mad Max-era Miller than Happy Feet-era Miller.
But lucky for us, he does have a new Mad Max movie starting up after this opens.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Morgan Freeman makes almost anything better. He even makes Dolphin Tale look good (well, him and the cute little dolphin).
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/This is just an obvious money stunt. I never liked the first happy feet, for it be an OBVIOUS knock-off of an animated feature that nobody has heard of. A bit off the subject, I'm still annoyed that the studio that made this is doing the Bone movie.
For a lot of people, from what I know, it wasn't so much that the first movie was bad as that it started with a pretty good story that felt like it got interrupted midway through with an Anvilicious environmental message.

Still haven't seen the first one, but I imagine a few people will be pleased about this.
