(Sorry, don't know how to directly put a Youtube video into a post.)
use the format [[ youtube : (video ID) ]] without spaces
O dear, Youtube has failed me. I wanted to post “Yesterdays Ideals” by Lucifer’s Friend, which had a hilarious German-accented narration at the beginning (“Vint of taahm...vint of taaaaaahm...”) but it’s not up there (at least not in its entirety
).
Oh well, have this instead:
Early 70s jazz was lousy with this kind of stuff. Thank you, Freddie Hubbard, you came to my rescue!
This.
The spoken-word part begins at about the 7:00 mark.
I used to hate the spoken word part of this (starting about 4:08), but I've come to decide that 1) it's really no more ridiculous than several other parts of the song (it involves Rivers Cuomo rapping over classical-influenced piano for chrissakes), and 2) it kinda works in context and has a certain Narm Charm to it:
@Dark Decapodian: That. So very, very much.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. The entire album "An American Prayer" by The Doors is spoken word, because it's Jim Morrison speaking his poetry. It's also pretty good, though it's... odd, in some parts. "Lament" is a good example of that.
I write pretty good fanfiction, sometimes.

Have any examples of these.....?
This is the most epic of them, no doubt about it.
Fun fact: The official video of this song contains Evan Rachel Wood and Terrance Stamp in the lead roles.
