"Uh... huh. So, you took them all pretty easily, they really that dangerous? I mean, I'm unarmed right now, so maybe, but I figure with a weapon, they don't seem so tough. I guess you're the voice of experience for... whatever this is."
Jou managed to put on a more easygoing expression than earlier, as he was around other people. He couldn't let anyone see him scowl like he had been, Midori especially.
"If you enjoy having a soul, yes, they're very dangerous. Bone Mantises, just like every other creature from The Other World, do not attack your body, they attack your mind through the body. Besides, did you see those huge sickle hands? Almost as big as my scythe!"
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly...."My my my my my my. How presumptuous! Assuming, that I can give you powers, that there are powers to give you, and that you are worthy of them! Huh! Unfortunately! I cannot truly rebuke your presumptuousness, as you're right on all accounts this time around. Still, there is another around here we must gather first, I can sense it. Unfortunately, I know not where."
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly...."Well, forgive my repeated presumption, but, having seen stuff like this before, I have a pretty good idea who the fourth person is."
Having noticed that aside from himself, both of the people present were classmates he was more aware of than the other faceless fools, he was expecting Kuriko to show up at any moment. Somehow, Jou had wound up in the exact same sort of media he spent most of his free time consuming. Apparently, his classmates thought he had a need to study. Maybe for finals.
"Ha ha. No need to be sarcastic, ma'am. I don't know where that guy lives. But, I suppose we should try to find him. I mean, if there's more of those bug things, he might be in trouble. I'm not about to allow my rival to get punked by Metropolis Zone rejects."
"I think the Mantises are the least of our concerns, it grows later, and the barrier between our world and the Other World grows weaker, allowing stronger creatures to leak out, and allowing stronger fears to manifest as realities. We need to find your friend."

I spread my wings and I learn how to fly...."Our World is just that, the world you, I, and all other humans live our physical lives in. But there is another world, at least one other world, I should say, where our inner thoughts spill over and manifest themselves as creatures, people, and events. Sometimes, for reasons even I do not fully understand, the two worlds will intersect and leak over into each other. Someone's darkest fear can easily become a reality at times like these. Essentially, a timeframe where those monsters under your bed are very, very real."
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly...."Die? My good man, think about this for a moment. If what people believe becomes real, and someone is say, a devout Christian. Well guess what, we've got ourselves a Satan walking around somewhere, possibly more than one. Dying will be th' least of your concerns with some of these creatures. That's my theory anyway, I have no way of knowing for shure."

I spread my wings and I learn how to fly...."I still cant believe you have been fighting for almost 400 years, seems way too unlikely, you would be an old hag, or dead... anyway, I always thought you, him, and little miss likes to bugs people a lot were friends? Or was I mistaken?"
Says Minato, as he diverts his attention to Jou.

"What the hell are you doing?" "I'm playing a role, sir, what are you doing?"

"Dangerous? They're just bugs!"
Jou walked over to the pair, having found nothing to use as a weapon.
"Well, they're a bit big to whack with a shoe, but if there was a metal pipe or something, I doubt they'd be too dangerous. I mean, they're pretty big, but I'm pretty sure I'm asleep right now, so it's no big deal. So, who's the lady with the scythe?"
