Some tropers (myself included) have been moving works from the Main/ namespace to the appropriate namespace. Unfortunately, some of these moves were done without the wicks being corrected to reflect the new namespaces.
There are more wicks than any one person could handle, so I'm posting here in hopes of getting help. Here is a list of pages that have been moved and need their wicks corrected. (Let me know if you spot any others, and I'll add them to the list.)
EDIT: The list has been moved to Administrivia.Wick Namespace Migration.
Add completed moves in Completed Namespace Migrations.

^ Off the top of my head, the main Webcomic/Jack page a disambiguation pointing to Webcomic/JackDavidHopkins (custom titled to "Jack (David Hopkins)") for the current Webcomic/Jack content and Webcomic/JackJackAntonucci (custom titled to "Jack (Jack Antonucci)") for the other one.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI need help moving the Administrivia.Conversation In The Main Page wicks. There's 550 atm, all at the top of Fanfic Recs pages: the template for each new page is simply copied from another, which means Main.Conversation In The Main Page namespace is breeding. I'm chipping away at them at 10/day but it's gonna take a bit.
I'll take a swing at that tomorrow, a bit busy for it right now.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpOk, I created Webcomic.Jack David Hopkins and Webcomic.Jack Jack Antonucci (requested the custom titles mentioned above, waiting for mods to do their thing), and turned Webcomic.Jack into a disambiguation. Working on the webcomic wicks as soon as I post this message, starting with the Hopkins one.
[edit] Is there anything like Wick Namespace Migration for disambiguating work pages? I didn't realize there were 200+ wicks for Webcomic.Jack.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpI think it goes on wick namespace migration as a complex page. That's where some of the others like that are.
Keeper of The Celestial FlameOk, finished moving the Hopkins Jack wicks, minus two requested edits, the disambiguation index wick, and the Completed Migrations index.
The Jack Antonucci Jack is in need of crosswicking, though, as there are no references to Web Original/Jack mentioned on its "Related to..." page. That, however, is another thread.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpAll Fanfic recs pages now point to Administrivia.Conversation In The Main Page.
Keeper of The Celestial FlameThis post just to bring attention to a sibling effort to this one, the Hyphen Migration
project. We now have a page, Administrivia.Hyphenated Titles, for articles that don't just need a namespacing but also a title correction. Feel free to consult it.

I've done a couple of the hyphen migrations myself while working on the Wick Migration.
Keeper of The Celestial FlameI invite you guys to take a look at the Suggesting new namespaces
thread; we're pondering if an OCT/ namespace would be a good thing.
Well, the Wick Namespace Migration page has been locked because the same Vandal going under various (often random and garbled) aliases persistently vandalized it and other related pages for the past couple of days.

I now go by Graf von Tirol.I could state my thoughts about the whole situation, but there's no way that'll stay polite enough for this forum, so I'll practice self-censoring. I just do hope it won't last.
Just remember, everybody, you can still go to the Edit Requests for Locked Pages
thread for any modification needed. I suggest taking note of them and doing the requests by batch from time to time in order to avoid swarming the thread.
Just completed (after a LONG while) redirecting all mentions of Main.Cartoon History Of The Universe and Main. The Cartoon History Of The Universe to ComicBook.Cartoon History Of The Universe. All pages have been done (Aside from The Prophet Muhammad and Sandbox. The Prophet Muhammad, the former for being locked, and the latter for being blank.) and now one of the only things left to be done is to add it to the list.

Crossposting from the YKTTW Crash Rescue
topic: I've noticed that a fair amount of newly-namespaced work pages would qualify as stubs and as cut-worthy under wiki standards. I see that some people have been cutlisting the articles rather than namespacing them, but others are namespacing them as well.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanA question/proposal for Wick Namespace Migration - should the page note that Main/ redirects with fewer than 10 inbounds can be cutlisted?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI don't think it's too much a necessity on the page itself... most tropers involved in the project know it, but we don't want too many pages cutlisted at the same time (it is bad for the Google rank of the site), and newbies may not be aware of that fact. On the other hand, we may want to mention the latter anyway....
Plus, I don't consider cutting a Main/ redirect something you're just done with... I keep watching those that attract wicks fast to PM those tropers mistakenly linking to a dead redirect, to increase the awareness of namespacing. Again, no obligation for everybody to do this, but it's something that can be considered.
Actually, I'm back after a long break and the narrower standards for works in main were codified in my absence, so I'd like some marching orders, as the Ambiguity Index seems to attract them as wicks.: Less than ten inbounds is grounds for cutlisting...but what's the lower limit on tropes or wicks. As in, if a workpage in main has less than ten inbounds, but a listing of five or six tropes, is it spared the cutlist, or are we going for a more zero tolerance approach?

Workpages get only cut if a) they are stubs with less than 3 good trope examples or b) duplicates (including of already-namespaced work pages) or c) for some less common reasons that don't have much practical importance. As for Main/ redirects, one consideration is not to cutlist too many at once.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanGood news: the Wick Namespace Migration page is open for everyone again. Let's hope it lasts!
I've been chipping away at MythBusters redirects when I have spare time, and I've hit two pages on the "Related to" list that are puzzling me.
Just for reference, here's the list: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=Main/Mythbusters
. There's an entry for "Slow Motion" — it redirects to Overcrank, which does not have any reference to Mythbusters that control-F can find. Another entry is for "Fan Works: Star Trek Continues", which leads to a "we don't have that page" page (and again, no reference to Mythbusters). Is there any way to clean those off the list?
![]()
I fixed the one for Slow Motion. The page had the redirect mark-up at the top, but had addition content below the redirect.
I've run into that problem a couple times before. People create redirects without deleting the text that was there, which gets extremely confusing when cleaning up wicks.
(If you want to see what it looked like before, here's the page history.
)
Star Trek Continues looks like a ghost wick. I'm not sure if there's any way to fix it.

So, how do we disambiguate Webcomic.Jack?
