Some tropers (myself included) have been moving works from the Main/ namespace to the appropriate namespace. Unfortunately, some of these moves were done without the wicks being corrected to reflect the new namespaces.
There are more wicks than any one person could handle, so I'm posting here in hopes of getting help. Here is a list of pages that have been moved and need their wicks corrected. (Let me know if you spot any others, and I'll add them to the list.)
EDIT: The list has been moved to Administrivia.Wick Namespace Migration.
Add completed moves in Completed Namespace Migrations.

I've noticed there is Discworld/ folder on Completed Namespace Migrations. Is that an official namespace now? I was under the impression that "Franchise namespaces" were bound to be discontinued, except for Disney/.

I think that Grandfather Clause applies there. Also, I remember seeing some collision between Discworld and other works.
Discworld and Harry Potter have their own namespaces. For the former, it's just easier that way since there are namespace conflicts and what, 40 books? I don't know why it's there for the latter.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
In times long gone, namespaces weren't standardized that much, so things like Harry Potter sprang up.
OK, but do we have an offical list of franchise namespaces that are approved? I'd like to include those that are "official" on Namespace Map.
If we're not gonna have a LooneyTunes/ namespace for the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies shorts, then we should also get rid of the HarryPotter/ and H2G2/ namespaces. The inconsistency really bothers me - since there are far more for the former, than there are for the latter. Also, since all the Harry Potter titles start with "Harry Potter and" - there is absolutely no chance of collision with other works.

There is a thread
just for Harry Potter namespaces. Or start a new thread about it. I wouldn't disagree with the lack of necessity for it, but the work needed to move these back may be a bit much.
Discworld, on the other hand, with over 40 books and some titles corresponding to tropes, really need the dedicated namespace.
On another topic, here's a title I have trouble with:
WesternAnimation.Code Lyoko Evolution
It is the sequel of a Western Animation series, but on the other hand it's a Medium Blending of live-action and CGI.
So, do we keep WesternAnimation/, or should it be in Series/?
Just for the record, the official stance on movies including both live-action and animation is that they should go into Film/ and not Animation/ (or WesternAnimation/ or Anime/).
TV Tropes' very wikibot
Asking again, for the last time: Can anyone help me to contact Fast Eddie, for talking about a solution for the hundreds of thousands wicks to fix? It won't cost money either.
Get rid of the walled garden
This is probably some good reading for you here
- and a Wiki talk thread for bots - and three hints:
- Everyone can do that, not just Fast Eddie
- The server's opinion will depend upon the technical details.
- It's not as practical as it sounds.
Ignoring the locked pages and others, the Franchise.Star Trek wicks are finished.
I fixed the Star Trek XI and Tropes Are Not Bad wicks: The first one was a ghost wick on the redirect, the second one was because whoever redirected the page to Tropes Are Tools forgot to delete the page's previous content.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWohoo! Just divided The Office into Series. The Office UK and Series. The Office US.... Now I really hope that people mentioned which version they're talking about within examples. That's going to be a pain in the ass looking through all of those wicks. Help would definitely be appreciated. Allons-y!

Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.

Just seeing that Videogame.Halo now redirects to Franchise.Halo. Will change the entry accordingly. Hope that nobody has already started to move wicks to Videogame/ ...
Get rid of the walled gardenYou know, I was on the way to the fridge and suddenly realized, Administrivia.Wick Namespace Migration and Administrivia.Completed Namespace Migrations are both in the 250k-300k character range.... and we don't even have all of the works properly namespaced or in the process of getting namespaced yet... So, should we start thinking about splitting Administrivia.Completed Namespace Migrations? Because it's eventually going to have every single work on the site listed on it. How about the Administrivia.Wick Namespace Migration? Should we split it up some more? By the way, thank you to whoever soft split it into "complex" and "simple".

In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.Personally, I don't think Completed Namespace Migrations should exist at all — I find it pointless. It's far simpler, easier, and faster to just glance at the Related To... of a page.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
Because apparently ghost wicks don't matter?
And it would be interesting to have a tool to track down pages by their page type, just like YMMV Index does for namespaces.

Definitely in favour of that - in case some people may still be marking certain Music/, Wrestling/, or LetsPlay/ pages as "creator". Also, it'd be a good way to find out what all namespaces contain "work" page types - and if any need to be changed.
Also, I know there are too many Main/ pages in order to view the namespace list for that - but I'm hoping it'd be possible to see what all "work" and "creator" type pages are still on Main/.
re: Looney Tunes namespace
The Disney namespace now applies to Disney characters and individual shorts (among a couple other things) to go along with the animated canon, so I can't see why we cannot have a LooneyTunes/ namespace. It does make quite a bit more sense than HarryPotter/, given the redundancy of the latter.
I now go by Graf von Tirol.Septimus.... You mean this tool
? Change the last part of the url for different namespaces. That link has it for Series/
EDIT: Just tried it for Main/..... I get a special message that says it's too big to display.
EDIT 2: Ninja'd.

Headdesk.... Maybe I should've read your post more carefully. My bad. I didn't realize you were asking about page types. Good idea.
EDIT: Hmm, let's see. We've got a page type activity
, pages with no page types
, What Page Types Mean... Okay. I'm all for that idea. The question is how large the lists are going to be.

Damn it. What do I need to do to fix the Franchise page?
