I hope they OD on Bella Swan, but that is only addictive to Robert Pattinson.

...how did this thread get from Lulzsec and immigration laws to standard 'lol drug users suck' condescension?

Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.

Same way that Lulzsec became ABOUT immigration.

I'm asking about topic drift in the thread, not how a group of hackers justifies their actions.

Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.

<sarc> Well, if them cops have done nothing wrong, they've got nothing to fear, right? </sarc>

Karma at work. Violate enough people's privacy, eventually yours goes away as well. Ain't it delightfully ironic?

@savage: Vigilante justice rarely hits the ones actually deserving of it. This is sort of the equivalent of shooting everyone who looks vaguely like the Unabomber just to be sure.

Incidentally, this is why the rest of the intellectual world consider Anarchists to be morons.

What vigilante justice? I ain't talking about that. What I'm talking is simpler:

Cops, by nature, intrude on people's privacy. Searches and all that jazz... Now, they're the ones to get their privacy invaded... let's see how they like it. Turnabout's fair play, after all.

Karma at work, I tell ya. I luv Lulzsec, really.

Home? But that's invading the walls' privacy!

@Savage: Dude, eye for an eye is never a good solution. Especially when you cant be sure any one of the cops leaked is actually guilty of ever invading privacy. At best all this is going to do is ruin some lives and make anarchists yet again prove themselves to the majority of the world that they should be patently ignored for being little better than terroristic, selfish children.

Not that it ever seems to matter to you since you're essentially the left wing version of Major Tom.

^^^^

Cops won't look up your address so they can kick down your door in the middle night and kill you and your family. It is not an equal comparison by any stretch. I have no problem having me or my vehicle searched, I know full well that I have nothing illegal. This is why I don't get searched, because I'll be the first one to say "Go right ahead Officer, let me pop the trunk."

Immigration would be a much smaller problem if the cartels weren't in the equation. If violent gangs like MS 13 weren't illegally crossing the border in droves to commit crimes and channel illegal merchandise into and out of the country, mexican immigration would be a much smaller problem. It is a big problem here in the southwest, and I for one am glad that Arizona got sick and fucking tired of just standing there and not dealing with it. I'd rather go with the Savage Heathen answer to things and just execute every gang member we find who's ever illegally came across the border.

[up] For once, I won't object. Gang members being also thugs, I've got no problem with thugs shooting each other.

I don't want LEO's families to get harmed either! It's just that cops losing their privacy feels very appropriate, giving the privacy-violating aspects of their trade.

@Savage: good to know anyone you define as a thug is immediately deprived of any right to live. Even if it does sound a little bit more dictatorial than like giving everyone equal rights.

I don't have to bear those who piss me off any goodwill either, do I?

At the very least, I'm entitled to schadenfreude when it's them getting screwed.

You're essentially condoning actions that could result in innocent families being killed because of that schadenfreude. That is not acceptable.

Shit, maybe I'm learning something from all the stuff you say SH. Maybe we should just kill people like you for condoning actions like that. If it was more likely that people would order tons of pizzas to some cops door, or maybe fuck with a credit card or two, then it wouldn't be all that big of a deal and I'd say to go ahead and laugh. But on the Arizona border, this is some serious fucking business, and it's dangerous as all hell. These gangs are vicious motherfuckers who will slaughter families in the blink of an eye. Condoning such actions towards police officers is totally disproportionate to what you claim they do to others.

Or maybe we can force him through rehab, since the drugs are obviously making him (and Lulzsec) violent and unpredictable.

It would be interesting, if Lulzsec gets a family murdered because they released undecover agent X's info, would they be culpable for the homicide(s)?

I doubt its the drugs so much as belief in utterly insane political philosophies.

This is why extremist philosiophies of any political type are bad.

[up] All it would do would be to piss me off. And I'd smoke weed immediately afterwards, so it'd be a waste of time.

[up][up] Damn, didn't take into consideration that that's Arizona and not Oregon. Things could get uglier than I thought... The cartels have no qualms on killing civvies and family members to prove a point. Nasty motherfuckers indeed. Lulzsec fucked up majorly: They should never have published personal addresses. Releasing stuff that endangered their privacy? Sure. But stuff that endangers their families is a major dick move.

This leak has no easy solution, does it?

Seriously, I hadn't thought about it.

[up] I don't think you understand the meaning of "forced". You don't understand how crazy the drugs are making you. It'd only be for your own good. This is why we need tighter regulation.

@Savage: No, there really isnt. Given its Arizona, known as the single most anti-immigration border state, Its very likely we'll see a few innocent cop families brutally murdered and tortured by cartels simply to prove a point.
