You won't be fighting her directly for awhile.
The Manual only mentions manifestations (monsters) in passing, but I'm going to be using them extensively, this will mostly be a Pv NPC game, rather than a Pv P one.
Also, I only need to be around for combat. Everything else, you guys can do on your own. So don't not post just cuz I'm not around.

I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Alright, I gotta say I'm somewhat pleased with my character. I wasn't too sure if I was supposed to roll the stats or not, but I did (sorry!).
Minato Keinhall
Other self: Dead Angel Knight
Repression- 1 Passion- 3 Wits- 8 Logic- 5 Tenacity- 6 Confidence- 6
Minato- Average black hair that goes a little past his eyes, they also cover his ears. Usually always has pair of headphones on his ears or around his neck. Doesn't like to be around others, but will work with others, if the situation requires it. His eyes are a silvery color, and his skin has a very light tan. Height-wise, he's a bit above average at 5'10''
Dead Angel Knight- Wears a full white knight's helmet, along with a black overcoat, which has the symbol of a skull on it,that drags onto the floor. He has one black wing extruding from his back, since the other one was torn off. He wears a black shirt underneath the overcoat along with black pants. He also has a pair of metal plated boots. His weapon of choice is a black longsword, that has the word 'Judgement' engraved onto it.
Aspect-
Quick Reflexes *Dead Angel Knight*
Oh and I was wondering, could my character be an Anti-hero or a villain...?

"What the hell are you doing?" "I'm playing a role, sir, what are you doing?"No villain P Cs, sorry.
We'll have him be the dark anti-hero, and he'll get character development as time goes on.
That's pretty much the point of this game, by the way, character development.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....You'll see.
I have some ideas, and some stuff I need to recycle from old settings.
Manifestations are just that, manifestations of people's fears from The Other World that sometimes appear either there or in our own.
By the way, your character can flip back and forth between the main world and the Other World more or less at will, but if you do it too much, the chance of the two worlds colliding (thus making more Manifestations) is higher.
I do have one monster cooked up, they're sort of the goombas of this setting. Not too special, mostly there to help you learn combat.

I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Pretty much. Only thing is, your characters do have to know each other in some capacity (hence the relationship things we'll pick later) they have to be classmates, or be in the same organization, or even just friends, or something.
Not sure precisely how that'll work for a loner like your guy. But I'll let you think that up.
Anyway, I have a very good idea of how to suddenly introduce the setting onto your characters' mundane world.
Otherworld and Regular World? COLLIDE! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
no but really, you'll start noticing the moment that Chess Motifs start showing up everywhere for no obvious reason at your high school.

I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Here's a monster that you'll be facing. I left the stats bare on this one.
- Fears
- Fears take many forms, but these are the shambling, vaguely humanoid Shadows. Most are adorned with skulls, bones, or iron crosses of some sort. Remnants of the Other World.
- Shadows do not wield weapons, apart from the occasional staff or knife.
Psyche (Stats)
- Repression: 1
- Passion: 4
- Wits 1
- Logic: 1
- Tenacity: 2
- Confidence: 1
OH FUCK I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT ASPECTS

I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Run Through?
Anyway, only one Aspect per character. You'll gain more later.
I'm taking a lot of liberties with the system, I've added a sort of crude level up system. Wherein you'll get three Psyche points and the opportunity to craft another Aspect. Those will not necessarily happen at the same time, mind.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Demon's Souls is a rpg for the PS 3, fighting demons and the such.
and I wonder what happened to Re Dead...

(◕ ヮ ◕)ノ-dives for the thread- Just in time!
- Name: Jouichirou "Jou" Takamine
- Paradox Black: White☆Knight Hero
- Psyche
(linked because of unusual rolls):
- Passion: 7
- Wits: 7
- Logic: 8
- Tenacity: 7
- Confidence: 7
- Aspects: Suppressed Anger
Jouichirou Takamine is a tall and solid-looking young man, he could probably have been on any of the sports teams he wanted if he were in better shape, or had any interest. As it was, he mostly spent his time of books, video games, and other nerdy stuff. Well-read as well as intelligent, he has a large reference pool and can carry a conversation about nearly any topic. However, his tendency to answer all of the teacher's questions in class led to rather excessive bullying when he was younger. He endured well, and his mind is likely stronger for it. However, beneath his jovial veneer lies deep resentment for everyone who'd shunned and insulted him. White☆Knight Hero is the manifestation of his desire for justice, destroying the monsters of the Paradox Reality with disturbing brutality. Capable of generating a wide variety of attacks based on medieval weapons, White☆Knight Hero generally attempts to cause those he deems wicked as much pain as possible with an almost sadistic glee. That said, both he and Jouichirou would put it all on the line for his few friends, as being alone for so long teaches one appreciation of other people.
