@Ookamikun I want J-Decker too! Honestly though, I hope we get a break from Might Gaine next game. I've been waiting for another new Brave Series debut since Might Gaine got one back in V, and only recently got that wish granted by X-Omega with Brave Exkaiser.

Actually, I wanted to bring this up with you guys because I'm curious; An idea I had for the next Super Robot Wars trilogy is that it would be made to appeal to an international audience. One of the big things it would do to try that is to have GoLion, Dairugger XV, and Albegas as part of the series roster to form the "Voltron Holy Trinity". Another thing it would do is bring back all of the series that debuted in Super Robot Wars Compact 3 and haven't appeared since, being Mechander Robo, Acrobunch, Betterman, and The Vision of Escaflowne. Due to the recent "International Era" project the franchise has taken as of late, would you guys rather have the "Voltron Holy Trinity" and Compact 3 series appear in the next game (Or, in the case of the latter, at least have both Betterman and Escaflowne return due to the former having a close relationship with GaoGaiGar and the latter being popular overseas)?

Just for fun, I like to call the 4 series that debuted in Compact 3 (Escaflowne, Mechander Robo, Acrobunch and Betterman.) by the nickname of "The Compacted 4"

Attack me all you want, but a mecha series that I recently want to see in SRW is now Kannazuki no Miko. I know the mecha parts are cheesy, but they have something to show for. Plus there are ways to mix it with other series. Zeorymer, Mazinger, G Gundam, and Cross Ange are a few of them.

That would be interesting to see. Though Banpresto might want to be wary of the LGBT crowd. Not sure how they take Kannazuki no Miko over there.

But if it gets me KOTOKO's Re-Sublimity into an SRW style music, I'm in!

Although at this rate, I think the more likely candidate and in my 'this should be in' list is Vandread. Although I absolutely do not know how to implement "Men and Women are separated to different planets, also Earth Humans Are Assholes."

That reminds me of this fanmade animation of Vandread in SRW.

You know. One thing that makes SRW special to me is how they try to interweave the plots between the involved series together, instead of making it more like an Excuse Plot or just majorly action, less plot (though the very old classic timeline runs to the former problem).

Whenever Shonen JUMP makes a crossover, it's always Excuse Plot, majorly action. Honestly, it makes me wonder when would they try on doing the SRW formula on Shonen Jump: Make it about interweaving plots together than mere Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. Super Shounen Wars.

Though I know Bandai Namco tried a similar format with Super Heroine Chronicle (or something), but that didn't take off... because IMO, I don't think they're using the right series in there (the only one that got me caring was Symphogear. Now if only they put something like Sailor Moon or Precure or Cardcaptor Sakura... Or if you try Light Novels, maybe there's also Shana.)

Yeah, that is why I love this series over other crossover games. And I am also curious about how it would be a SRW-Style crossover game using Shounen series.

Though I dunno if I could try out such hypothetical game, since the only non-mecha Shounen series I am into right now is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Well, in the middle of rewatching Rayearth, I get reminded that Umi's school had 'daughters of politicians or financial group leaders'.

Since politics (obstructive ones) tend to play a role in SRW, I can see that someone would make a remark of recognizing Umi's Sickeningly Sweethearts parents or something...

I actually tried to watch Rayearth, but I couldn't get into it. Maybe it's only the first episode, but most of the main trio accept their situation way too easily, and are far too willing to Jump at the Call after basically being shangied on another world. And they're also kind of two dimensional at best. Again, maybe It Gets Better, but it didn't leave the best first impression on me.

Zeorymer and G Gundam are explained. I stated Shin Mazinger Z since their mecha are basically gods and Cross Ange for both Yuri and the Reincarnation aspect. Though I actually see characters of the latter being temporary antagonists against the maidens for this very reason. I also found some ways to cross it over with Gundam 00.

But yeah, Vandread is another on my list of series I wish it to be on there. I actually think it’ll go along well with Strain, Heroic Age, Knights of Sidonia, and Legend of Galactic Heroes (as the non-mecha entry). All of which take place in the galaxy rather than Earth.

Well, it's a nice article. But I seriously would like to know how SRW will handle the controversial part of rape and possible implications of Stockholm Syndrome.

Also in another topic, coming fresh from Danganronpa... well, I think it'll be nice to hear old school style Hekiru Shiina as Hikaru, after her amazing performance as Celestia Ludenberg.

Yeah, everytime I see someone suggest Kannazuki No Miko appearing in SRW. I kinda fear of that happening because of that very controversial part.

I've never seen or heard of this show, but it must be even worse than Cross Ange if people think it can never work.

They could just omit the rape part and make Chikane do another heinous thing in her gambit to make Himeko hate her. Same way with Z2 making Nena Trinity do her most heinous thing in a different way: Make it less her own volition or more of the higher ups order to shoot down Louise's family.

I guess that could work...?

Funny thing is that I see Ange and co being enemies going against the Mikos AND Orochi. I say that becuase, the fact everything gets retconed right after leaves the possibility that everything they worked for would be taken away. It’s not that Ame no Murakumo is an evil or sinister being (on the contrary, despite the needed sacrifice, it’s rather benevolent by redeeming even the Orochi and undoing all the damage done to their lives). They just want to make their own world rather than let others judge them.

Likewise, I actually found many ways to interweave Kannazuki and Gundam 00.

• Sister Miyako and Girochi’s Dark and Troubled Past is from Celestial Being’s armed interventions.
• Nekoko is from the Super Human Research Institute.
• Ribbons would manipulate the Orochi, merely becuase their leader Tsubasa also voices Alejandro Corner.
• Mr. Bushido would challenge Chikane and Himeko becuase they’re shrine maidens who are good with a sword. Even funnier is how one of his mecha is named after the hero who kills Orochi.
• For more tragic points: the loss of Anew compared to the loss of Chikane.

EDIT: And yeah, that exactly how Inlove the series. Moreso when they have he potential to fix plot pilots and complaints that some people had. X did a lot for Cross Ange, which is why it’s my favorite game so far, specially after how they did Sylvia.

What's damning is that they rehash Might Gaine's story. They already finished it in V, yet they did it again in X (but in a Cliff's Notes version). Whereas Wataru only had its season 1 part and somehow it vanished from the roster (so no furry god powers). Which is weird, since Wataru and Rayearth could fit well with each other.

Well, in the process of making my blog, I took screenshots of the trailer. And... well, Rayearth's showcasing actually shows one of its sample mooks.

It's a golem. The same golem that's in Episode 2 (not Ascot's monster, just a resident monster in Forest of Silence).

It's probably gonna be treated as more giant-sized than usual.

Another thing. I know that we will definitely won't get Rayearth OVA as a standalone in the future, but I wonder if some of the plot elements can be 'included' or 'refitted' as a part of MKR, in case they want to expand on MKR's story? Like for instance, have the events of OVA happen, but the characterizations are more TV/manga? Replace the antagonists with another characters or treat it like 'Alternate Cephiro invading our reality!'? Anything can go, especially with SRW's experience with Alternate Universe.

It'll more likely fit as a Midquel for MKR, between Season 1 and Season 2, because that was when the girls reached enough Angst level almost similar to their OVA counterparts... and that would be the point that they realize something went really wrong in their Cephiro.

You know, something I wonder is if the Mushroom Samba episode will ever appear in T. And if it does, then what illusions and hallucinations the cast will experience. I bet some of them will be as funny as the ones in Cowboy Bebop.

I'm not sure, but I tend to think it'll end up making really bad hallucination, a la the Stoner Sunshine event in Getter Armaggeddon. In some cases include the Magic Knights murdering Emeraude or Akito tortured to hell by Kusakabe or Van in the day Elena was murdered.

I mean, they never had Godmars OVA yet in D they had Goldymarg pilot Godmars OVA and is even recruitable and you have a combination attack with Godmars and Godmars OVA.

I wonder if T will include stuff from that Gaogaigar PS'1 game, since BX had some stuff from it if I remember correctly.
