Anime News Network is the only one I know of with professional-ish reviews. My Anime List lets anyone put up their reviews, but if nothing else it's a decent way of seeing what other people think of series.
I guess it is.All reviews will have pretty obvious biases to them, just like video game review sites.
ANN has anti-moe and anti-loli vibes going on (they're fine with shotas though). They're generally into the old stuff. Or stuff they deem intelligent.
My Anime List might be the best choice. But the problem is that anyone can write a review. Fans will orgasm over the stuff they like. And haters will give an as low a score as possible for stuff they dislike.
So even that site has problems.
The best reviewers are, in my opinion, friends. They'll be biased too, but since they're your friends, I would assume you know about them enough to detect those biases. And if they review something they normally hate positively, that means the series in question succeeds really well...so even biased reviews have some use...but it's limited.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Fine as in...never heard much criticism of.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."

Is there any good site that reviews animes, like how Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritics do to films?
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.
