Good, the mechanics I spent more time on X3
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?"Care to switch, Colonial and / or Parable? X3"
We can't have Sherman or Sheridan without Grant. If I switched we'd have the same dilema.
Okay, I've had all day to think this over but since it was Father's Day, I didn't. But I sort of got the gist of it.
This takes place on Earth, or as I like to call it, Sort-of-Earth. Its just like our Earth except with Magical Girls and the geography is a bit shuffled. Everything that has happened in our past has happened. The real Lee and Grant did fight the Civil War, Simon Bolivar did liberate most of South America.
We all start off as students of the West Point Academy for Magical Girls, a school ostensibly for military magic users but many proceed to go the civilian route after graduation. This is located in some random country made up for the game's purpose. Many of us are very gifted in magic because we all carry the essence of famous generals from history. Like their spirits, attracted to us because we're distant decendants or have very similiar personalities. And the same last name, for oddly coincidental reasons. Thus, we are are own characters with the knowledge, attitudes, and styles of whoever we're channeling.
This country of ours has fallen into civil war, as one region thinks it has been unfairly treated by the others in terms of economics, political representation, and cultural dominance. School is interrupted as girls choose sides. Rebels leave the school, loyalists are rushed through graduation. Friendships are torn asunder.
In this country, a magical girl is practicaly worth 100 tanks. The best weapon against a Magical Girl is another. So expect player vs player combat at some point, thought you'll mostly be up against NP Cs until the mechanics of this are fully worked out.
Ruling on my outlined mechanics so far, Parable?
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?Parable has done it I dare say.
Way to take a load off my shoulders.
TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.I don't think we'll need to close sign ups. (Don't think they'll be starting anytime soon either)
TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.I think GS wants to make a reservation for a specific general.

How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?Do we get to have grid-based combat?
Because I can dig that.
TVTropes Nuzlocke Thread. - Arceus Help Us All.That's what I was thinking at least, though I don't know if it'd be hex or square. Movement would be a concrete value instead of just a vague 'I go over here'
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?-Is totally interpreting that as tacit permission to design the entire game system-
I'll be right baaack~!
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?I'll do character requirements first so y'all can work on those while I describe the rest.

Whatever happens, Miss Lee will be the Straight Woman.
