Usually here.Uh...anyone know what tropes would fit this?
It seems to be rather low on the Sliding Scale of Robot Intelligence. At first, anyway, perhaps he might evolve.

UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOINow we need to pick a song. I'd pick this,
but I'm pretty sure that'd be a Copyright Violation.
OK, I'll post the full text here, and edit it down for the trope page.
The apartment block had always felt like a prison, cells filled with stench and fighting and noise, endless noise. And he knew that they did it all just to torment him. To them, he was nothing more than another tenant, seldom seen and never heard. To him, they were tormenting devils.
So he withdrew, and read, and let the cacophony of the world dim for just a few sweet hours. There was one book, one who's title and contents he could never remember, but was still compelled to re-read over and over. So, with all his other books lying abandoned and dusty over his neglected apartment, he read it.
And through the pages, it read him.
The messages started out subtle. Shapes flickering faintly out of the corner of his eye. Hidden messages in the sounds he heard and the things he saw. But it was not one for patience. It sent envoys to him in his dreams, and phantom muses to him in his solitude, singing the anthem of an impossible world. Slowly, it replaced him with itself, leaving just enough to maintain the illusion that he was his alone. Soon, when it's tendrils of thought had found their mark, it made it's presence felt to him.
And it told him it's secrets.
It told him of it's special plan. It told him of it's kingdom, of the power that could be his, of the part he had to play. For all the world was just one big prison cell, filled with stench and fighting and noise, endless noise. The body itself was a cell, and in order for it's glorious rule to happen, everyone had to be freed from their shackles.
He heard, and learned, and became it's willing agent.
Carving marks of conviction into his flesh, he set to his duty with zeal. He had always hated this place. And now he was going to destroy it. Completely.

Aww, did I hurt your widdle fee-fees?So depending on which character you pick, do you get a different intro? Like, robot-guy gets the crazy-robot intro, framed-guy gets I Was Framed intro, Teutonic Knight gets time-toss intro?
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!
Yeah, how about we each have our own stories that sometimes intertwine in a Rashomon style?
Something like that, yeah.
If MUGEN can handle the awesome.
Should there be an overarching Big Bad Eldritch Abomination?

UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOIEdmania's the big bad, I thought. Just by virtue of him being so much more other than the rest of us.
And don't worry about the metaplot, I can whip something up once everyone has the base of their own character arcs.
