Drunkest I ever got was on the combination of homemade mead, homemade absinthe, and some lethal homemade limoncello at a pagan convention. I was apparently literally green and looked about to die. Stuff was stronger than I thought, I guess!
This is what happens when you go to the afterparty for the heathen metal band that just played, I guess.
A brighter future for a darker age.Today I realized I could dump kahlua into rum-spiked eggnog for holiday themed white russians.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterNo, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it next time I hit the store.
I usually drink Cuervo and Patron. Sometimes, my cousins and aunts from Mexico bring tequila from their own personal stock.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.so apparently jose cuervo is just grain liquor with tequila flavoring in it, which is why it tastes like formaldehyde and gives the worst hangovers.
Anyway, I also forgot to mention that I recently discovered martin miller gin. I went to this bar that was all speakeasy style, and instead of ordering a drink, the bartender and I had a long conversation about what kind of alcohol I liked, and at the end of said conversation, he handed me some beverage based on the above gin and I kind of swooned a bit* at the way he talked about alcohol and mixed the drinks.
The end.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterMixed drinks? hmmm probably a Gin in Tonic, made better if at the lodge, it was hot on the lake and I'm relaxing after a 'hard' day of fishing.
Straight liquor: as a type I'd say Whiskey, as a specific drink I'd say Pyrat Rum.
Beer: Not sure I have a favorite, it changes with season a lot. During the summer I prefer the clear crisp German Beers, during the winter I go with heavy stouts more.
Obligatory self promotion: http://unemployedacademic.tumblr.com/Jose Cuervo is pretty terrible. El Jimador
is decent and about the same price. Thenamelesssamurai would, of course, suggest Camarena.
Seconding Justice's vote for El Jimador. It's what Castle Geekhaven buys when DG wants tequila. Also, if you are seriously strapped for cash and want something tequila-ish, Pancho Villa is a better choice than Jose. Cheaper...and believe it or not, smoother.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~Finding a beverage that's smoother than Jose is kinda like finding a beverage that's tastier than paint thinner.

Justice is a joy to the godly, but it terrifies evildoers.Proverbs21:15 FimFiction account.this is true, Justice. But if you're on a budget, spending $5 less for something that tastes better (note: get the Pancho silver, the gold is ass-sweat in a bottle), even if it's still not great, is a decision you usually want to make.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~Oh, I'm a big fan of saving a couple of bucks on something that tastes better. On the shelf a few feet up, I'd suggest going with Don Julio
over Patron.

Good mead is awesome stuff. Don't buy Chaucer's. Best, of course, is to get in with the right folks from your local historical re-enactment outfit or mead-drinking pagan religion, and find out who they think is the best. If you're lucky, you'll get free samples.
