Regarding the title, this is merely the first RP in a series which I have just created and story boarded out over the course of a few times. First, I will explain a number of things about the story and certain elements thereof.

Plot Line: You start out as a denizen of one of the five medieval style states of Nereid, Montreul, Estolia, Reibrog, or Ganbrook.

Each place's information:

  • Nereid: picturesque little town with an inn, a shop or two, and some homes. Is everything here quite as picturesque as we think it is? No, its not. Everyone living here is half-demon, nobody knows it.

    • Hansburg: a little bazaar filled town, that bazaar is always going on...for one reason or another.

  • Montreul: The Center of the efforts of the people hoping to defeat Esturk, the Archfiend and the cause of the recent monster attacks and general misery. Or Is It

    • Mandelon: a small, "empty" town that the Emperor of Montreul was told of by the Chancellor. The town was allegedly cursed by the Archfiend, and nobody survived the curse. Or Is It

  • Estolia: The previous rival empire to Montreul, both were angling for war with one another before Esturk showed up. Now they are the best of friends, their young Emperors working together to defeat that Archfiend.

    • Gradaile: A town full of people who would seem like madmen and maniacs, Gradaile is avoided like the plague by most sane residents of the land. Is Gradaile really all that bad? It seems like a Wretched Hive of corruption and violence due to the criminals who set up shop there, but...

  • Reibrog: A tiny fishing town to the east of Estolia, and to the northeast of Gradaile. Not much happens here...

    • Eistenmann Castle: A small castle keep to the north of Reibrog, past the water, and on a large island infested with monsters. Is it really as abandoned as everyone says?

  • Ganbrook: the black sheep of the alliance against the Archfiend, these people were the ones who summoned him in the first place, or so they say, to defend them from a huge tribe of barbarians. That tribe of barbarians is right outside the village, the flesh melted off their bones and which was turned into a swamp by the curse of the Archfiend. The skeletons are still standing their upright as a reminder. Nobody really likes the people from this fortified city, and they are trying to atone for their mistakes. Are they as guilty as they themselves think?

Personages:

  • The Archfiend: Known by the name of Esturk, this fearsome fiend has caused a lot of havoc with his curses which seem to follow him wherever he goes. Nobody knows what his real appearance is, but most have said its a terrible dragon with a huge protruding brain, an exoskeleton, and ten wings. Some add a face on the stomach, others say it has a snake as a tail...

  • Emperor of Estolia: Those familiar with Andalia might remember the face of "Prince" Raize Stormscall, but not the generally asshole behavior that seems common of him here. A definite Prince Charmless here...Or Is He?

  • Emperor of Montreul: Emperor Felix is known for three things, being a tad of a jerk, being a golden, good person when he needs to be, and having downright uncanny skills with a sword and with spells. He is the best hope for defeating the Archfiend, but he really does NOT want to deal with the Archfiend right now.

  • Mayor of Nereid: An authoritarian man by the name of Kenon Bradley, he is known for being inanely strict and hating adventurers for "putting themselves in danger". He might be worse than he appears...

  • Captain of the Ganbrook Guard: the son of the mayor who summoned Esturk, this man is dealing with guilt and yet, he masquerades as someone without a care in the world, getting drunk all the time...

  • Andren Enrei: a man from Gradaile, he is known for being the most insane of them all. He claims the world will occur again and again and again...could he be right?

Further Details

  • You will make a certain number of characters, and they will form a Nakama, after certain events, more character origin points will become available.

  • Just because there is one "Hero" group does not mean there is nothing else to do. This world is more expansive than you think it is. There is plenty for many groups to do. On a related note, sign ups are never closed.

  • Of The Hero and The Archfiend; The Hero is an actual position here given to someone by the Sage Kelia, and this person gets stronger the more people fall victim to the Archfiend. He is fated to eventually kill the Archfiend.

Magic System: The Magic in this RP is cast by using the "Mana" inlaid in a character from birth, and using too much for your Mana will kill you. Half-Demons are exempt from this rule, but those do not officially exist according to all the powers available.

On Religion: The Religion in this one is the Eistelian Church, which has Estia as a central figure and benevolent Goddess who supposedly accidentally created the demons by mixing black mud into the mud mix which created humans. She has since vanished mostly out of shame. She does hear prayers, though...

  • Hell is not a punishing place. Its essentially where the Demons live, and its more like Mordor. Nobody has ever been there, save the demons, who sure ain't talking.
