Dream Team should have ended with Luigi getting launched into space while Peach sings about it and Mario just kinda sadly looks at the horizon.
So last page, we were joking about what obscure Mario characters they could put in Jamboree, and I've got another one. Can anyone tell me anything about Mini-Spek?
Your melody still remains in this room and it ringsIt's very vague if Wart s a dream creature from the world of dreams, or if he's a guy from Mario's world who entered the dream world and conquered it. Mario and the others were able to manifest themselves in the dream world, so it's possible Wart did to. Of course, since Wart only ever appeared in that one game, we know next to nothing about him. There's some ancillary comics and stuff where Wart is just a guy with no connection to the dream world, but then in the original Doki Doki Panic Mamu is explicitly a dream monster, so it could really go either way.
(Japanese) preview of M&L: Brothership.
I wouldn't be surprised if the English version is out in the morning.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."So...it appears to be true that the "normal" attacks are actually cooperative. They function like Bros. moves from the original game.
While the actual Bros. Attacks are item based like Partners in Time onward.
That's neat.

On a completely irrelevant note, the animations remain stellar.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Well, PiT was the only one where the Bros. Items were expendable. The later games all did use BP.
Your melody still remains in this room and it ringsI said item based as in...they cooperate via a 3rd party method of attacking.
It's still BP based.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Outside of making a non-cluttered list, there's not really a point in doing that because the items aren't a specific thing only one of them can do.
But since the last 2 games did do that, they'll probably be separate here too.
Depends on how you get them.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I honestly don't like the BP or item system. I'd rather Bros. Moves be meter-based so you can't just spam them every turn. Especially as the attacks have gotten longer and more elaborate with each game compared to the quick combos of the first game.
It's silly how standard attacks get totally obsolete the moment you get your first Bros. Move in every game because the BP cost is so cheap there's no reason NOT to use them at every opportunity. Go watch any video of a boss battle from the M&L series and it'll always be the player just using the most powerful Bros. Move every turn.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The only reason not to use bros. moves is if there's some kind of damage nullifying effect that you might waste the attack on to get rid of.
But yeah, the system was pretty flawed.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. If you played the way I did (never using the advance levels), the choice between Bros. moves and single moves could have strategic value, especially in the early game... but that got less true as I accumulated more bros points.
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midHere's a small You Tube video detail more info on the world of Brothership:
It shows the new areas...but doesn't really reveal much information.

The Japanese website just showed how Luigi's "solo" hammer works.
When in the original trailer it showed Mario's hammer.

Ontop of them having different animations and input order, Mario's hammer in the trailer had an AOE effect called "Kaboom Attack".
It'd be interesting to see if that comes from badges returning or is it just how Mario's hammer is different from Luigi's.
Luigi's hammer is a spinning sideways swing, while Mario does a spinning "overhead" swing towards the ground.

It's hard to do much with a concept like that in a Golf game...and a mobile Mario Kart.
