I think another interesting idea for a new Mario game could have a page taken from Animal Crossing where music varies based on the time of day (Maybe have it be determined by the systems clock or have the time in-game change when you exit a level) It could be a fun opportunity for remixes. I had some ideas for a few examples for what kind of tracks (with ones from previous games being remixes playing)
The actual ending of the game is the Darker Side
i beat that before I got the 999-moon reward, so that felt like the real ending to me XD;
I've played the remake of Bowser's Inside Story and well, you guys already know by now that the Dark Star has its own boss theme. The Gauntlet also lets players fight the Giant Bowser bosses again (there are only three regular Bowser boss fights that could possibly be used for a Bowser-only Gauntlet area: Wiggler, Midbus, and Blizzard Midbus, so there not being one makes sense).

Seeing Bowser wreck the Fawful Express was a glorious sight. Not because it was a hard boss, but because i REALLY hate those moles.
Yeah, I hated the moles too. It's kinda too bad that there's no boss fight against Private Goomp, Corporal Paraplonk, and Sergeant Guy which would be a Bowser boss fight where in the scene beforehand Bowser outright tells them that he's going to beat them up as retaliation for locking him in the safe that he stored the second Star Cure in.

Petunia hates Monty moles in general.
I'm surprised I beat the Fawful Express on my first try in my first playthrough. Fighting Peach's Castle was horrible.
They got theirs in Bowser Jr's journey. It was one of the most satisfying moments in the game.
After a very obnoxious battle in Dream Team, which is why I didn't get it.
How was it obnoxious, you just needed to beat them all at once.
That was their only gimmick.

Take out one or two and the others will revive them. From what I remember, almost every battle had an annoying gimmick.

But seeing Mario and Dreamy Luigi take on Bowser's army is a damn awesome boss fight.
So apparently the we might be getting a lot of things this year...
I hope that's true. It means I can finally replay Sunshine and be traumatized by the eel all over again!
Did we know this already?? If not that's good to know.
Gematsu and Eurogamer are also saying the same thing with their own sources.
A Deluxe version of 3D World? Cross your fingers for Yoshi!
I do question remastering 64 given they already made 64DS.
I'm not optimistic about a new Paper Mario entry...but I'll wait and see before judging.
I'd sacrifice all of these games for a new Wario Land and wouldn't even feel bad.
An HD version of Mario 64 DS with analog support? Would be a pretty big improvement. It's probably more likely though that they'll remake of the original game.
Well the thing about Paper Mario is, consider what's happened since Sticker Star.
Part of the reason why they took the direction they did with it was because they already had a Mario RPG franchise and wanted to differentiate the two, pissing everyone off because that was gonna be the new direction from that point onwards.
However, they didn't foresee the massive backlash Sticker Star would get and by the time they were aware of how much people disliked it, they'd already started working on Color Splash and it was way too far into development to react to the concerns. Sticker Star sold well enough due to being on 3DS, but Color Splash sold horribly and while generally perceived as an improvement, people still prefer the old Paper Mario style. On top of that, they kind of don't have another Mario RPG franchise anymore. Alpha Dream died after the Bowser's Inside Story remaster flopped hard. They could just make new titles themselves or hand it off to another dev, but when you consider everything else that happened, from my perspective they have no reason not to course correct with any new Paper Mario.
Of course, this is all just my speculation. Not like we'll know anything until the project gets revealed proper.

Yay, Switch is getting some good 3D Mario platformers.
It's getting all of them...
Sounds too good to be true
