Here's hoping they'll change their minds on this, quick, and that there will be more than one unit allowed to sync with the console at a time. The potential for games with multiple screens is staggering. Limiting it to just one is ridiculous.
Yes, it's true that the controller is probably going to be kinda expensive all by itself, but if the design is good enough...
My assumption is that the "multi-player games being developed" refers mostly to the prototype demos. Otherwise, Nintendo has some explaining to do.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Well, if it's been in development for 3 years, with devs having devs kits for at least 1 and a half, we are sure going to have a MASSIVE drought of local multiplayer games if "Not sticking player 2 on with an inferior controller" is just added late in development...

He did say eventually. He knows that everyone in the world won't drop their balance boards and start cannibalizing eachother for a chance to grab the new model. Nintendo stated quite plainly in the reveal that they expect the Wii and Wii U to coexist for awhile.
I felt reassured when he said that, mostly because i was still in the "So what, is it just an add-on or something?" confused camp before that.

You are not alone.Well, I searched up and checked, and like expected, of course they're using AMD graphics like last time, which means Radeon HD series.
I wouldn't expect too much, you don't get high end cards out of something like this. But low end cards are might powerful right now, and will be even more so in 2012. This is certainly something to be excited about, because the mere fact it is using Radeon HD, it is guaranteed to be much more powerful than the Play Station 3. Which is AWESOME.
That lack of Gamecube peripheral use is kinda odd. But I still have hopes of seeing Gamecube games on the Virtual Console because this system will definitely be able to do it. I have an HD 4870 and it handles Wii emulation pretty well.
Genkidama for Japan, even if you don't have money, you can help![1]So whats the issue with in to being it not being compatible with the gamecube, that's like complaining that the NES controller and games weren't compatible with the N64. We've had two generations seriously, like Nintendo said they plan to have support for the Wii alone for a long time even after Wii U's release. So it's not like Wii U means the death of all your VC on the Wii.
If you have a problem with Nintendo not being 11+ years backwards I have one question for you "I'm sorry is Nintendo on your lawn"?
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comGuys, I bet the reason it is limited to one of the new controllers and 4 Motion+ ones has nothing to do with the controllers themselves. They obviously have the processing/transferring ability to play a game on two screens at once (one of them wireless) from a single platform. I have no idea how much processing power that would take, but I immagen that there would be complications when adding another controller/third screen to the mix. The signals could cross, take more hardware than they are planing to fit in and raise the price, etc.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!Guys. A question:
Did they say no Gamecube Controller support, or did they just say it doesn't play Gamecube games?
Because I know quite a few Wii games that support Gamecube controllers. Be a bit awkward to excise a controller option in the jump.
And how do we know that the Wiimotes being used for the Wii U are the same kind of Wiimotes being used on the Wii?
I have a message from another time...
Not sure, but Luigis Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine used that.
Not really, and I don't expect to. Actually, who cares about the box at this point? As long as it does what it is supposed to do and does not look horrible, what else matters? I think Nintendo is right in that respect: the Controller and gameplay are much more important than the box itself.

I think, and I may be wrong, but I think you can still use Game Cube controllers...the Wii U will be using all of the Wii's accessories, so I'm guess if you want a game cube controller you're going to have to buy the Wii version of it but the originals won't be compatible. That's not much better I know, but...
