Almost Naked Animals is a new canadian cartoon by the Fish Hooks guy. Any Canadians here who watch it? If so, what do you think of it? Turns out Cartoon Network's picking it up for the US.

The clips I've seen are decent. I like the quirky character designs and the voice acting, and the jokes I've seen so far all worked for me. However, almost everyone else I've talked to has expressed at least a slight degree of dislike.

I watched a few clips and while it looks amusing... I'm not sure I can get over the shaved animals wearing underwear thing.

Isn't everything nowadays, if not CGI?

The title alone made me giggle.

Haven't really heard much about this show. I'm not saying its a bad show but the title sounds kind of disturbing and furry-related.

Un-frickin-touchable.

Being a furry and all, I thought I'd enjoy it but it was a bit too fast-paced and confusing for me. I'm sticking with Regular Show and Gumball on cable and old episodes of I Am Weasel and Road Rovers on the internet.

It seems like one of those shows that would take some time getting used to.

-looks up the show online-

...oh. From the creator of Fish Hooks, in Canada.

Is it me or does Cartoon Network have some kind of contract where they must pick up a certain number of Canadian productions a year?

And why do I have the feeling we will NEVER find out why all these animals on this show are almost naked?

Oh right. It's funny.

.... no sorry.

This show was clearly only picked up (along with Sidekick), as an attempt for CN USA to get their hands on rights to air the 4th Season of the Total Drama Series. I had this shit figured out from day one.

Both this and Sidekick, are just examples of less shows I want to see from Canada, anyway. They both stink and I had their game figured out anyway, which makes the sting they leave me taking no damage whatsoever, despite how bad I've heard these shows are, courtesy of Toon Zone Forum members chiming in about them.

Willa's Wild Life, Ruby Gloom, and Jimmy Two Shoes, for exmaple, are better IMHO, and an example of REAL cartoons CN, Nick, and Disney should be going after if animated variety is needed and they can't do anyting original at the moment...

Peace.

Last time I checked, They already had the rights to show Revenge of the Island before they greenlit those two shows, and may I ask what is your opinion on Spliced?

I'm a furry, and even I don't like this. The show is too reliant on Random Access humor.

Adventure Time and Regular Show are leaps and bounds better than Almost Naked Animals. Their premises are twice as developed, and while both are incredibly random, there worlds go by their own set of rules and logic.

Am I the only one who actually likes it? No one else here OR on Toon Zone had anything nice to say.
