I'd totally go in, but I'm already playing two RP's, although one of them is just a guest appearance for a while. For how long will the signups last?
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?I dunno. However long the rp lasts, I suppose.
I'll prolly wait a couple of days before actually starting the rp, so as to get a good idea of the number I need to handle.

- Name: Amethyst Vizonne
- Age: 23
- Gender: Female
- Profession/Class: Young Intern to Professor Juniper, Pokédex Filler. As a result, lots of pokémon, but talent lies in battling wild pokémon, not pokémon trainers.
- Preferred Legendary (please be general):
- Appearance: dark brown skin, blonde-white straight hair that's in a low pony tail. Red eyes. A bit of a bean pole. Purple framed glasses. Round the shoulder knapsack, and a waist pouch. Pokéballs are magnetically attached to a keychain on her belt.
- Personality: Lacking empathy and thus can be condescending unknowingly, the type to do things for the sake of knowledge, a bit introverted due to said habit of being condescending.
- History: Born in Mossdeep City, idolized Steven Stone. Moved to Nuvema Town at age 9, met Professor Juniper and discovered her dream of catching 'em all.
- Pokémon(main):
- Djinni the Metagross, a gift from Steven right before she left Mossdeep. Strongest pokémon.
- Rabbit the Sceptile, a pokémon Amethyst caught at age 15 when she took a trip to Hoenn to specifically seek out a, well, treecko, specifically for it's knowledge of false swipe.
- Lolita the Jellicent
- Shades the Krookodile
- Wan the Eelektross
- Xiao the Larvesta, the newest addition to the team.
I will also be roleplaying Arceus, but that's as a GM, not as a roleplayer.

Read my stories!I vote Johto!
This seems... really interesting. I might end up joining, as all but one and half of the R Ps I'm in are going rather slowly.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!•Name: Jack Rogain.
•Age: 19
•Gender:Male.
•Profession/Class:Showman, for lack of a better word. A handful of Pokemon, which are powerful but with no subtle abilities.
•Preferred Legendary (please be general): Something with a lot of flash or perceived power.
•Appearance: A tall, thin, pale looking man. He dresses as if he's a magician, complete with black top hat, bowtie, suspenders, and coat. His hair is black and cut short, save for a few strands that fall on the back of his neck. He carries a simple cane of black wood, a brass knob at its head. His eyes are dull brown and his face is usually marked with a mischevious smile.
•Personality:Jack is a showman at heart, always willing to please a crowd. He frequently makes a fool of himself in the process, but he usually manages to convince them that it's all part of the show. Behind closed doors, he's rather quiet and reserved, speaking only when spoken to, a sharp contrast to his showman persona.
•History (keep at least semi-short): Jack was raised by his father, a traveling magician. He taught Jack the value of showmanship, of hiding his lack of talent behind sleight of hand and fancy tricks. Jack took these lessons to heart even after he left to travel, fleecing crowds for money and doing the occasional odd job.
•Pokémon:
- Obrimos, a Kadabra that has been Jack's constant compainion.
- Skunge, a Trubbish that is less an actual trained Pokemon and more of an annoying thing that does what Jack says because he gives it food.
- Mab, a Froslass that demands Jack's constant attention.
Ooooh, I like it, accepted!
and I think that might be doable!

- Pokémon:
- Zealot: male Umbreon; rather aggressive and very protective of Phlebas..

On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Hrm, bit hard to do, since legendary pokémon tend to be on the imposing side in general, but it looks mostly doable.
Good character though, I was expecting far more trainers, this is most pleasing. Although now it's going to look like I'm the over powered one
, dammit, I love too many pokémon to choose just six, let alone less.
But I digress.
Accepted.
UNOVA: 2
HOENN: 2
JOHTO: 1

If everything goes well (and we get enough people to sign up)expect the roleplay tomorrow afternoon. Well, that's tomorrow afternoon my time.
...It's 10:30 AM here, so do the math yourself.
If everything goes AMAZINGLY well, I might just set it up tonight.

Read my stories!- Name: Carrie Smith
- Age: 14
- Gender: Female
- Profession/Class: Gym Trainer under Pryce
- Preferred Legendary (please be general): I don't have one
- Appearance: Tall and thin, with long, dark brown hair always pulled back in a ponytail. Glasses that take up about half of her face, with red plastic frames. Jeans and green T-shirt, under a thick black coat that she wears while in the gym.
- Personality (keep it short, just a quick three facts or so, so I get an idea of where you are headed with this): Hot-headed and excitable, always energetic. Likes to learn while doing, and thinks in the middle of acting.
- History (keep at least semi-short): Born in Mahogany Town, Johto, and saw Pryce as her idol as a kid. When she was ten, her dad gave her her first Pokemon, a Sneasel, as a birthday present. She trained hard and applied as a Gym Trainer and was accepted at 12.
- Pokémon:
- Weavile: Female, mischievous but kind-hearted around friends, very protective of her trainer.
- Seel: Male, laid-back and fun-loving.
- Swinub: Male, the youngest member of the team, he always wants to get stronger and often rushes into situations the rest of the team has to pull him out of.
- Jimminy: Male, a Scyther. Her uncle gave Jimminy to her after she was accepted as a Gym Trainer. He isn't used when she's working in the gym, but is always with her when she isn't.

Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton! The scyther had me confused till you gave it the explanation. Smart choice. Like the glasses. Pokémon has always had an amusing blend of realism and quirky when it comes to humans.
A definite Accepted.
Read my stories!U,H:2
J,K:1
Expect the roleplay up in 7 hours or so, AKA, when I get home from school.
Read my stories!Ugh, sorry I took so long doing this. Was, um, kind of busy, ahah~ >.> But, uh, here goes...
- Name: Irina Sterling
- Age: 19
- Gender: Female
- Profession/Class: Student, currently travelling as research for her thesis. Specializes in cryptopokémonology.
- Preferred Legendary (please be general): Something linked to the mysteries of the world? If that makes sense.
- Appearance: Around 5'4", with messy, shoulder length black hair and brown eyes behind a pair of glasses with small, rectangular lenses. Wears a knee-length denim skirt, plain black shirt and a green jacket that seems to be comprised primarily of pockets. Flat as a board, and not at all happy about it.
- Personality: Not exactly a people person. Often rather volatile towards anyone who she percieves is making fun of her, which is just about everyone (she's actually rather insecure about herself, which is why she lashes out so much). Despite her rather aggressive stance, she's actually something of a pacifist, and whilst she doesn't object to Pokémon battles, she's not really much of a trainer.
- History (keep at least semi-short): Hails from Black City, although she has nothing but contempt for the place, preferring less developed areas to the smog-choked city of her youth. She's always had a fascination with Pokémon, especially the folklore and mythology inspired by them, and began studying at a young age to become a Pokémon researcher. Currently, she's on a year of travelling so she can study the sites of these legends firsthand.
- Pokémon:
- Brainiac: Porygon. Mostly used for computing purposes. Irina has been meaning to upgrade it to Porygon2, but she can just never seem to get around to doing so.
- Eon: Female Eevee. Little more than a pet, very affectionate and shows little inclination for battling. Her collar has an Everstone set into it, as Irina really doesn't want her to evolve just yet.
- Zeus: Male Electivire, and the only one of Irina's Pokémon that's actually really used for fighting. Most of the time, though, he's just used as a back-up source of electricity.

Edited my Pokemons' personalities in.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Moerin: accepted.
Desden: Other than what looks to be implied pokemon talking, it seems fine. Psychic pokemon usually are kinda iffy in whether they can talk to humans or not, since they're psychic, but I'd prefer you leave any communication abilities to empathic ones.
—
And since I have a free period, I think I might start the roleplay now. It will start at the Sinjoh ruins, so we'll have time to interact and figure out any problems there.

Read my stories!Hope I'm not too late!
Name: Greg Weston
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Profession/Class: Ex-Team Rocket Member, now he just sight sees
Preferred Legendary: Intellectual
Appearance: Black Team Rocket hat. brown, short hair. brown goatee. green eyes. Wears a black button up, unbuttoned, with a red shirt underneath, white pants, and black sneakers.
Personality : laid back, adventurous, and cunning
History : Was once a Team Rocket employee. He got tired of torturing Pokemon, so he left to live his own life with his Pokemon.
Pokémon:
Crobat: His first pokemon given to him by Team Rocket. He trained it unlike his co-workers. He's also his best friend.
Jabberjaw (Todadile): A pokemon given to him by his dad when he was younger. It knows Hydro Cannon (If that's too cheap, I can switch it to Hydro Pump.), but when he uses it makes him very tired.

- Name: Tom Jamison
- Age: 35
- Gender: Male
- Profession/Class: Paleontologist and archeologist, also a talented historian.
- Preferred Legendary (please be general): Anything with a Rock-type.
- Appearance: A young, tanned man in khakis, face always has some kind of Perma-Stubble on it.
- Personality: Tom is smart and analytical, but can be also be somewhat gruff and taciturn at the best of times. Beneath it all, though, he's got a good heart, though.
- History (keep at least semi-short): A Unovan archeologist, he's fascinated by anything to do with the past and spends most of his time on fieldwork trips. He's very knowledgable about most kinds of prehistoric Pokemon and always enjoys making a new discovery. Many of his fossils are imported from overseas, which he studies and ressurects with the help of his colleagues.
- Pokémon:
- Ostrom (Bastiodon)- Tom's first Pokemon and his strongest. He is fiercely loyal to him but is also easygoing and relaxed around strangers, in addition to protecting the weaker members of Tom's group. Moves: Iron Head, Earthquake, Giga Impact, and Blizzard.
- Valentine (Lileep)- The youngest member of Jamison's team. She is very shy and a weak battler so far. Moves: Astonish, Constrict, Acid.
- Bakker (Kabutops)- A solemn loner, dislikes being around others and only trusts Tom. Moves: Aqua Jet, X-Scissor, Aerial Ace, Absorb.
Robo: Hydro Cannon is a two turner AND a move tutor move. So it's less cheaty than hydro pump, actually. Unless it's a level 50 totodile.
Just don't be OHKO-ing everything willy-nilly (especially since Totodile is a physical attacker, not a special one. But I'm letting the gamer talk here.)
Accepted and Unova is in the lead.
Ehhhh. I'm a bit :/ but I think that's just a paranoid gut feeling you seem like you'll be fine. Accepted.

Read my stories!

Because the roleplaying section CLEARLY does not have enough Pokémon roleplays as it is, I decided to make one. Whooooooh.
Now, I suppose I should give the main hook first, before anything, so you don't immediately backspace:
A mysterious organization is capturing legendary pokémon, isolating their very beings, and using them as mind controlled slaves in order to gain power to push their agendas. Arceus, god of pokémon, has realized what has happened, and to save his creations, he saves those who have been taken by creating necklaces or "tokens" for them to reside in peacefully. Then, he gathered humans of the most fire-minded, green-giving, gold-hearted, silver-souled, ruby-passioned, sapphire-calm, diamond-headed, pearl-eyed, black-determined, white-souled variety. This is where you come in.
So, make a human character, and you get a legendary. Of course, it's not that simple...
First of all, you don't get to pick your legendary. Well, you do, but not directly. At some point, you will have to use a pokémon of your own, and the pokémon you choose to help you is what will decide your token. So ya better choose damn wisely, and it better be a pokémon ya damn like too.
Now, the tokens do not count to pokémon count, so you can have up to the normal six pokémon with the additional legendary pokémon, which you will be able to use as a summon. Said summon will still be a pokémon, and have its own thoughts and personality, but also has a degree of boosting your pokémon and manipulating reality, depending on what they could do as a pokémon.
If you have a specific preference for a type of legendary, let me know, and I will try my best to help ya out.
Also, don't be a pokémon trainer. I mean, you can, but don't limit yourself to that. Be a gym leader. Be a coordinator. Be a professor. Be a bug catcher. Be a former member of the organization of your choice. Be ten years old. Be twenty years old. Be forty years old.
Naturally, due to this, I am not too picky if you have a 6-team of fully evolved pokémon, but it depends on what you are. Gym leader is cool, unless you have diverse typing.
So be logical with your choices. Have fun with it. You can always try your hand at catching other pokémon, after all.
Now, at the moment, the region this is taking place is currently undecided. I am leaning towards Unova or Hoenn, but that is because those are my two favorite regions. Regardless of which region, the roleplay will start at the Sinjoh Ruins (or start with everyone travelling to the Sinjoh Ruins).
We are dealing with half game half animé canon here. Fights should be dynamic like the animé, or hell, the manga if you can manage it (but people stay out of the fights) but the rules of nature are strict game play. Games dictates a sort of comparison size for the towns, but not a literal size.
Finally, lets accept that not everyone is perfect at roleplaying. If you see someone (including me!) commit a roleplay faux pas, feel free to politely inform them of it.
Anywho, I've rambled on long enough. Character sheet!
—
Nice and simple, I hope. Any questions, feel free to ask. I have an OC I will make shortly enough, just not in this post.
Oh, and if you're interested in being part of the evil organization, feel free to, but please do it as a second OC.
And finally, don't try to put yourself center stage, or try to one up someone else, or have your characters be aware of what the other character is thinking. It's just rude.
And finally finally, if you have any ideas of your own, or a desire to co-gm, just lemme know.
