Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Okay, I lied last time about starting my entry that day. In my defense, it was due to complications that I couldn't have predicted. So this time, I waited before I actually did that before saying it.
Today, I proudly stand before you, a week before the deadline, with fifty words already done! Not one, not two, not even forty two. Fifty. That's as much as four dozens plus two.
I just finished. I'm just waiting for some feedback on the conventions, and then I'll send it in.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass. And the cascade begins, I expect.

So, I guess my question is, is the contest still open? I'm confused...

I am now known as Flyboy.Whichever comes last. So if we have 8 entries before the eighth, the deadline is the eighth, and if we don't have eight entries by the eighth, it's whenever we get eight entries.
And by the way, judging is anonymous. As in, I'm not supposed to know who's writing what. So it may or may not be the best idea to announce what you're writing.

Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka ficsIt's still open.
The idea behind the deadline is that if 8 people haven't submitted by the due date, we wait for 8 people to submit so that there's a little competition, at least.
Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODERight, thanks.
And, ![]()
, you didn't see that. It was swamp gas and the light of Venus and... GLOWY RED THINGY ACTIVATE!.

Well, that's one way to perk the judges' interest... :P
