I downloaded the core book not too long ago and I am in love with Geist The Sin Eaters. So, here I am.

I've got the majority of the plot pegged, but I'm still working out a few details. Feel free to get creative with your characters.

Rolls will be made using this doohicky.

Either copypaste the important stuff from your character sheet or just link to it.

Well, I'm a fan of Geist, and World of Darkness in general (Geist, Genius, and Changeling are my top three). So, still looking to run the game?

Nope. Just go with a begining Sin-Eater, no real restrictions other than that.

Joseph Howard was a fantasy novelist, or at least, he'd been working on it. His wife had the real job, not that she minded. He never knew what she saw in him, but whatever the reason, she loved him, and he loved her, more than anything in the world. He'd have died for her. In fact, he did. They had just been out to a nice restaurant for their anniversary, strolling through the park on the way home, when the man appeared. The glint of steel made it clear he meant business. Maybe it was the wine, or his own love of fantasy, but Joseph knew he had to fight. He told Margaret to run as he charged the mugger, and she was already safely away by the time he felt cold metal in his gut. But with the last of his strength, he wrested the knife from his killer and returned the favor.

He awoke in a meadow. The sky was grey, but not from clouds, and the grass had a muted look to it. Standing there was a silent figure, covered entirely in armor. The livery on his shield was a rose, black and wilting, and he kept a sword at his side. As Joseph approached, the shade drew his blade and kneeled, offering it to him as a knight to his liege. Joseph instinctively knew what the offer was. He would return to life and be granted this being's power, but in return, he would be expected to uphold justice, as the knight had in its own life. Gripping the hilt of the blade, Joseph dubbed this Geist the Knight of the Wilted Rose.

Gasping back to consciousness, the first thing on his mind was Margaret. He had to know if she was okay. Luckily, he'd returned before anyone had discovered his and his mugger's bodies, the last thing he needed was to come back during his own autopsy. Returning to his and his wife's apartment, he found that his key no longer worked. When he heard the explanation from the landlord, he may as well have died all over again. They'd found her next to an empty bottle of sleeping pills, it'd been three months since his death.

Despondent, he wound up on the street. That's when the urge struck him. If it weren't for people like that mugger, his wife wouldn't have killed herself. He could still feel the weight of the knight's sword in his hand when he focused. He knew what to do. Even so, heroics wouldn't keep him fed. As luck would have it, he had sudden inspiration, the tale of a brave knight who fell in love and sacrificed himself for a beautiful woman. He called up an old friend from college, Bernie Howitz, who worked for a fairly big publisher in the city. He knew Bernie pretty well, so he knew all the right buttons to press to get him to help out. The 15% commission didn't hurt. The book sold well enough that Joseph lives comfortably now, working on his next novel by day, setting right injustice by night. He still doesn't realize that his novel was a true story. He thinks it merely allegory for his own death, but in truth, the Knight of the Wilted Rose has more in common with the author than he knows.

Joseph bought the fetter he carries at a Flesh Faire some months back, hoping the spirit within, presumably some form of writer, would find some measure of peace being used by a fellow author. The nature of the fetter's power seemed uniquely suited to Joseph's skills, as well.

So, I guess there's no other takers? It's a shame, Geist is great, like Persona 3 meets Ghostbusters.
