I think I've reached a point where I'm not invested in the DC or Marvel universes enough to truly care about these sweeping (and far too often, stupid) changes. I just sigh like a man watching the town drunk trying to hump the lightpost again (that sounded more bitter than I was going for, but oh well) and wait for the good stories to come out of whatever's happened this time. After all, there will always be good stories. I think this is a terrible idea, but it has potential. I just hope they don't waste it.
P.S. No, OMD, you are not, nor will you ever be excused.
Oh look! A shiny! But, Spider-Man is currently the best it's been in a while. I like it now more than I like pre-OMD.
@Wave: It's been confirmed that Batman, Inc will still be around.
I'm really excited about the new Swamp Thing. Keeping with the continuity of the past, and with Scott Snyder writing? Yes.
I'm not as sure about Justice League Dark, though. I love Peter Milligan, Shade the Changing Man, and Constantine, but I dunno. I kind of don't want to see a non-Hellblazer Constantine. At least this doesn't effect Hellblazer, though. And, I'll definitely check it out, at least.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."You know what would be interesting? A Batman Beyond reboot alongside the other titles.
I mean, the main problem with Mc Ginnis and his grim future was that it didn't fit in the canon. Damian Wayne was never hinted, Bruce leaving the mantle to Nightwing was unheard of, Bruce Wayne "retiring" didn't fit in, Barbara Gordon was still walking on both legs. Therefore, BB was confined to alternate universes, un-cannon futures and changing backstory.
Here, we have a brand new beginning. Bruce is back as the Batman, Damian as his sidekick, Nightwing out of the picture as cape crusader. Could it be that everything that hit Tim Drake during Batman Beyond Return Of The Joker was put on Damian instead? I could see this breaking Bruce and Barbara as much as Tim would.
Since we can set everything back to a basis more akin to hold Beyond, why wouldn't we? We know the character is liked, he even had his own mini-series. Here's a chance to catch, DC.
I know I would buy this in a second if it became true.
It was shown that Batman Beyond (or at least some version of it) takes place on one of the alternate Earths. (Earth-12 according to Wikipedia.
)
Hm . . . are the alternate universes going to be affected as well? (Not that DC has done much with them since they were introduced, but I have to wonder . . .)
@Lady Momus: I am fairly certain I heard that the Hellblazer verse will not be affected. That's the only one I know about.
Also, didn't Batman 666 have Terry? I know it had Bruce, Dick, and Damian. Seem to remember Terry as well.
So, while Batman Beyond may not be part of the main continuity, Terry is part of the future of Batman.

"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."Awww, all that mention of DC's mystical side and no Zatanna? She'd better still have her own Dini-written series.
Rawr! And here's where some of the big origins changes are happening, I guess.

Rawr!Rob Liefeld art is a selling point?
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information.... Okay, something tells me that by "reboot," DC means, "let's go back to the 90s!"
Also, still no Jaime, so still no patronage from me (seriously DC, if you're going to use Jaime as an example of your new "emphasis on diversity," give him a goddamn title).
I've been following the response on scans_daily. You know you have a problem when Rob Liefeld isn't the main NERD RAAAAAGE! focal point.

I knew something was off about the art, but I didn't actually check who the artist was.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."You know what, we've been talking about Liefeld for a few posts, but haven't done something
[ahem] LIIIIIIIEEEEEFIIIIEEEEEEELD!

The Teen Titans changes seem horrible for the most part, especially Wonder Girl, and I've always hated her character. Red Robin's costume is an improvement though, even though it's a bit too similar to Falcon's.
Oh well, 7 more to go (assuming Batman Inc. is part of the 52). One of them is probably going to be Action Comics. A Suicide Squad book would be great.
I am kind of pissed that the only thing that isn't rebooted is the horrendous Batman, Inc. Okay, it is rather obvious that they wouldn't retcon the title while once of the industry's biggest name is writing it, but still, I like my Batman more Film Noir like.
@BRC: It's not being rebooted in September, but Batman, Inc is eventually going to get one. Or at least an issue relaunch thingy.
And I'm with Alec on Stephanie.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."

I think they should sort of keep Barman Inc. As in keep the characters, keep them fighting crime, still run by Bruce, but free to make identities of their own. There should only be one batman at a time.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes Also
