A small creature hurried across the rocks of the great Lizardmen city of Hexoatl, its movements unbelievably swift and agile. It moved past the Blood Shrines of Sotek, the Blessed Pyramid of Tzunki and the Dome of Huanchi as it made its way to the top of the city. As the ‘thing’ reached the summit, it gazed sadly across the expansive Lustrian jungle laid out before it. It had not been around during the Golden Age of the Lizarmen but it had been taught to him by the very eldest of skinks. He ached to see this glorious realm restored to its former glory but knew that such things were beyond him.
He murmured a devotional prayer to Sotek, the twin tailed serpent god, as he made his way to the divine chamber. He ignored the queried looks he received by the Temple Guard, ancient guardians of this most sacred of places, as well as the taste of magic in the air. He hurried to a portal of humongous proportions, as a Saurus stepped forward.
He glanced around nervously at the other silent guardians as he conveyed his message that had been entrusted to him by Tetto’Eko the Prophet of Constellations. With an imperceptible nod, the Revered Guardian beckoned for the Skink attendant to follow him. The Revered Guardian moved towards the portal door with the Skink in tow. It smashed its tail against the metal surface, creating a dull sound.
As the door swung open, the Revered Guardian motioned that he should move inside. The door swung shut again as the Skink moved inside. It was illuminated by a strange light that seemed to ooze from the pool that swallowed nearly the whole room. At one side stood a motionless figure, its eyes darting to the attendant for every single movement he made. Dust had settled on the reptilian scales that covered him but he had still not lost his menacing aura.
The Skink knew perfectly well who he was. The motionless Saurus was the Eternity Guardian Chakax of Xlanhuapec, now Xexoatl. But this was not who he had been bidden to see. The attendant moved towards the pool at the behest of some unseen command and whispered the message into the pool. A mighty roar shook his surroundings, the sound being of more magical origins that mundane. As the Skink hurried from the chamber and Chakax closed the portal once more, the magical disturbance reached the other Slann priests via sublime communion. The message was clear, Lord Mazdamundi of Xexoatl had awoken, and Chaos once more threatened the world.
Footsteps rang off the marble floor as a huge figure clad in ornate armour stepped forth from the shadows. The inside of the monastery was bedecked with symbols of power and vile magicks hung in the air. Blood was dabbed on the walls that had once been elegant defiling them beyond recognition. Onlookers bowed respectfully before the giant as he strode down the bloodied aisle towards the altar, his gauntleted fists gripping maces of unbelievable proportions. His armour was bloodied, no hint of its original colour showing through the layers of gore.
His helmet sprouted horns of some organic compound, the hideous mask that served as the helm`s faceplate leering at those who stared at it. The floor cracked beneath his tread as he ominously walked down towards what remained of the altar. On it was laid bare a human corpse, defiled beyond recognition in keeping with much of its surroundings, its internal organs flopping across the floor. As he approached the head twisted sideways, the face wracked with unbelievable pain. He smiled. A small movement caught his eye and he beckoned. From an alcove in the bedecked walls hurried forth a hunched figure.
“My Lord,” it murmured reverently, bowing, the movement barely perceptible.
The giant ignored the thing and instead gazed intently at the defiled human. A score of acolytes sat hunched before it, murmuring their devotion from weeping and bleeding mouths.
“Have the omens been defined?” the giant asked the mewling underling.
”Yes, yes,” the creature hurriedly chattered, its head bobbing up and down,”They are positive.”
They`d better be!” The man snarled, the thing wincing at the sound.
Suddenly, a blazing red light broke through the sky, shattering the remaining timbers that made up the roof and impacting on the restraint corpse. It was lifted up into the sky, its spine snapping with an audible crack. With an explosion of immense magnitude, the body exploded showering those assembled with gore. Beneath his helmet, Lord Gramnir the Cruel laughed as all the acolytes ran in panic. Turning, he saw that even the ‘thing’ had fled.
With amazing speed, he launched himself forward snapping bones in the impact. He howled as he slew, his maces sweeping in brutal arcs, clobbering all in range to pulp. The slaughter continued until all was silent. With his massive form dripping in blood, Gramnir turned to the blazing altar where a glorious avatar of utter destruction looked at him through ruby eyes.
The corpse had swollen to a grotesque size, the skin laid bare so that the bones were visible. It glowed with a purplish aura, it`s eyes telling tales of death and battle. In them, Gramnir saw warriors dismembered, women and children thrust onto burning stakes and the entire world in the grip of Chaos. He howled in pain as the entire extent of the vision filled him, filling his mind with glorious visions of slaughter. When the pain finally subsided, Gramnir looked at the daemon, a smile on his bloodied lips and understanding dawning in his eyes.
”I am ready!” he breathed as the daemon arched its head and swiped its gruesome talons over his prone form. His body began to glow, its shape slowing away and dissolving into nothing.
At the climax, his mortal form exploded, levelling the monastery and everything around it. As the blinding light subsided and it was made possible to see again, a figure stepped from the ruins. Smoke flowed of its burning hot armour, its taloned gauntlets gripping two maces. Its face was twisted and deformed, and its body glowed with subtle, rippling mutations. As the figure stepped to the edge of the ledge that the monastery had sat upon, his gaze was drawn to the army that stood at the valley floor.
Mutants were kept chained and bound in chains forged from meteoric iron while men of the North, ill tempered individuals, sat on their snorting steeds. Beastmen of every size and proportion imaginable brayed and beat their hoofs against the floor in a primitive devotion to Chaos. In serried ranks stood the chosen of Chaos, warriors without peers who now stood in devotion to their eternal masters.
As the avatar of the Chaos gods gazed across this assembled symbol of mighty destruction, a rent appeared in the air and, with bellowing sounds, came forth teeming hordes of Daemons and their befouled kin. What was left of its face turned into a smile as Lord Grimnar unfolded his wings and leapt into the blackened and shrouded sky, as across the world destruction raged. Chaos had chosen its Champion, and blood would flow no matter what. The great chaotic cataclysm had begun.
This RPG is set in the Warhammer Fantasy world. You are a character from one of the following Warhammer races trying to stop the Cataclysm that has befallen the Warhammer world.
The following races are neutral since they are either too stupid or selfish to ally themselves with anybody else:

Signup requirements:
And here is my signup:
- Name: Carn`to, Prophet of Ax`Xlanax (Chaos daemons)
- Race: Lizardmen
- Faction/Alliance: The Slann (Lord Mazdamundi to be precise)
- Description: His massive form is bedecked in serried ranks of plated scales, a deep sapphire blue in colour. Upon his head is perched the skull helmet of a previous Eternity Warden. His muscles can be seen beneath his scaly hide and his movements contain barely controlled energy. He is clad in bronze and golden armour and in his fists he holds two cleaving swords of the hardest obsinite that glow with red eldritch fire that enables him to channel a limited number of spells.
- Personality: He is utterly devoted to his charge and is perfectly willing to lay down his life in defence of the Slann that he has sworn to protect. He is a fiercely intelligent Saurus and this is evident in his eyes, which display his intellect prominently. Once befriended he is utterly loyal but woe to those who he has resolved are traitors and unworthy in the Old Ones` eyes.
- History: When Chakax became the Eternity warden of Xexoatl, Carn`to became the senior lieutenant of Kroq`gar although he was still allowed to keep his title of Eternity Warden. He has been given the responsibility of leading the Temple Guard into battle and he is proud of this massive honour. He is also charged with the protection of any other Slann present, no easy feat but something that he has accomplished nonetheless.
- Powers/Attributes: Amphibious, Cold Blooded and (having spent most of his life in the eternity chamber) is mostly immune to befuddlement spells that confuse the mind and body. He can also cast the following spells:
Old One Vengeance (which cause the blades of his swords to erupt into flames) and The Old One Shield (which puts a weak shield around him that turns aside weak missile attacks).Bear in mind that we are going to be fighting quite powerful creatures so characters the strength of the above are advised. For those that are worried that there will be communication issues between the races, this will be sorted.
