You know I wish Helldivers was in vogue back when they decided to make Metal Gear Survive because that's a multiplayer format that would actually work really well for Metal Gear.
You are not alone. It's a format that would've worked great even for Mass Effect. Imagine fighting the Reaper war from ME 3 with whatever Citadel species you choose and the respective character classes but with all of the gameplay and combat of Helldivers, it would've been a near-perfect fit.

Honest we sort of did get that game in ME 3's multiplayer. It was just much smaller scale maps.
(And it did kick ass let it be known.)
Metal Divers / Hell Gear would probably have to give a bit of a re-evaluation to stealth mechanics since team-based stealth has a lot of obvious caveats but it would be awesome if pulled off correctly. Even if it just boiled down to stealth being what you do to get into position before going loud.
And honestly I keep seeing parallels. Like XOF on walking gears are a dead ringer for Automaton Scout Striders, the Soviet Hover Platorms are similar to Elevated Overseers, etc etc.
You are not alone. You might wanna play Sniper Elite 5 or it's recent sequel Sniper Elite: Resistance someday. It's nowhere near as chaotic and bombastic as Helldivers, but certainly does have some MGSV vibes since you're placed in a large open map with several objectives to complete and a wide variety of tools at your disposal. That, and the PVP Sniper Jaegers randomly dropping into your campaign sessions is hella fun and would've also been an amazing game mode if it existed in MGSV.
Bar a few of the non-lethal weapons such as the stun shotgun (which is a REALLY good gun since it can even stun riot armor soldiers) armor-piercing Tranq rifle or gas grenades it's not advisable to research anything beyond tier 5. Almost everything beyond that tier was meant for the online FOB raiding and costs waaay too much for someone playing only the singleplayer campaign to afford.
Tier 5? I'd put 4 as the practical cap for anyone not doing FO Bs.
Okay, it hasn't been brought up yet. Cool!
MGS Delta is coming to Xbox! Stay until the end for something special!
Snake vs. Bomberman, LFG!!!
There is something... sacrilegious about Metal Gear being on Xbox.
Oh hey, anyone remember how Snake would vomit if you spun him for too long in Snake Eater?
I briefly revisited V as before but I'm not sure if you can actually start a new game.
I did do mission 1 and 3 again and it was pretty fun going back to them after unlock a semi-auto Serval and just going loud on the parasite unit. (and assassinating the target in 3 with one round and riding D-Horse out to safety. )

Xbox is the only way to play Peace Walker on modern platforms
Peace Walker has only ever been available on PSP, PSV (backwards compatibility for the PSP version), PS 3 & Xbox 360 (HD edition), and later Xbox consoles (backwards compatibility for the 360 version). If/when Konami does a Master Collection Vol. 2, that's when we'll get it (and 4) available again.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyCan Sly Cooper get through Metal Gear Solid 3? by Nathinout
- Sly replaces Big Boss and has to clear the same obstacles using his own weapons and abilities
- The Cooper Gang's time machine malfunctions and lands them in MGS 3's time period.
The Scrappy of the Trope Pantheon, God of Thumps
Dont want an MGS remake after Delta. They gotta cook with that. But its easier to do a Peace Walker remake with the jungle assets and you know, gameplay mechanics
please keep the comic cutscenes intact konami. saves budget and has style
Pantheon server for all who click here. Lost too much money and time, this coaster ain’t stopping.

I now am more ready to support this than I am anything Kojima is currently doing.
Considering this is still Konami that is quite a feat. Now, games like this intrigue me because apparently they can just reuse old voice clips. Lot of anime games seem to re-dub everything instead of just using clips they've been producing for years (Dragonball).
