Hell, no. No idea what you guys are going about.
The image is the Grady twins from The Shining.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI personally thought that the dialogue was the Plot Hole in that case. He just lifted the conversation from the novel while forgetting to change that detail.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Kinda late in the game, but I added the bodyguard twins
◊ from The Triplets of Bellville.
They aren't conjoined, they just stylistically "glomp" into a two person Faceless Masses... with faces.
Yeah umm it takes 5 minutes to find the guys in there..... probably not.
In a way, it does seem like people recognise the Grady girls as twins. Google confirms that people consider them to be "creepy twins". Therefore if they serve as the page image they will still get the point across; it's not going to mislead people. Just note in the caption that "SURPRISE NOT AN EXAMPLE".
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I would prefer not having a Beam Me Up, Scotty! for a trope image as it will invite debates, random pulls and crap but whatever.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I'm not saying it could be misleading to people unfamiliar with the work, it is misleading to those familiars with it. Like an Inverse JAFAAC.
I pointed out that in here
.
I don't think it will mislead people familiar with it. Makes them go "Hey that's not an example!" maybe, but I think the fact that the term is called "creepy twins" is very self-explanatory..
And by the way, since it's not possible to verify age in most fictional works, I would argue that it's reasonable that the trope should be expanded to instances where the "twins" look like twins. They are executed in narratives to produce exactly the same effect.
(And even if we don't expand it, the Grady sisters would still be an example under Played With or Subverted Trope, since in the narratives they are executed to produce the same reactions.)

Make that one more vote for Hansel and Gretel. I also found a picture we could use. It might need some resizing though: http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=136457

Your mind is a software. Program it. Your body is a shell. Change it. Death is a disease. Cure it. Extinction is approaching. Fight it.I suggest cropping it and uploading it to imageshack and putting an entry in the crowner. You don't just vote for characters, you vote for specific images.
Fight smart, not fair.I already suggested it way back in page one
. I guess it is not in the crowner because the general consensus preferred to other picture over it.
Nevermind. Is the other H & G pic official art or a Deviant Art / ___booru original?

Alright, it's been about a week, the votes haven't changed much, and the Shining twins have been the consistent leader, so I think this is ready to call. The new pic is up, potholed, and tagged, and I moved the quote to work as the pic's caption. Do Hansel and Gretel have a good quote that could work for the page?
