The lack of self awareness is quite a sight.
Yeah, we can call this a self-own on the school's part.

My musician pageDavid Spatafore, the UHSAA’s legislative representative, addressing the Utah Legislature’s Education Interim Committee on Wednesday, said the association — without informing the student or family members about the inquiry — asked the student’s school to investigate.
The school examined the students’ enrollment records.
“The school went back to kindergarten and she’d always been a female,” he said.
To protect the student’s identity, Spatafore said he would not reveal the sport, the classification of play nor the school the student attended.
He told committee members about the events in response to their questions of whether the UHSAA, which sanctions and oversees high school activities, receives such complaints and how they are handled.
Spatafore said the association has received other complaints, some that said “that female athlete doesn’t look feminine enough.”
Imagine living vicariously through your daughter's sports team that you throw a fit and demand that the winner must be a boy. Oh and throw in hate while you're at it.
I wish he had gone into further detail. "We investigated X number of cases, in turn needing to collect information from Y number of schools for a total of 0 instances of HB 11 being violated. This law has created a witch-hunt where hateful parents try to disqualify any competitor that does better than their daughter."
This signature was thumped to preserve the dignity of the moderators.MTG revealed this bill to Tucker Carlson, who is trying to get all Republicans on board with it. It won’t pass now, but if reintroduced after 2024…

Banning private insurers from covering trans healthcare in adults.
Even if there is a Republican victory it wouldn't pass, as long as the Republicans keep the filibuster this kind of partisan legislation is dead in the water.
The real harm this represents is that it's a statement of intent, that Republicans are going to do whatever they can to murder trans people.

We've been saying from the very beginning that this war on trans women in sports will eventually start hurting cis woman athletes who are particularly muscular or who don't look feminine enough, but did anyone listen? Noooooooooooooo.

Matt Walsh has gone on record saying that not only does he support the bill, but that any Republican who doesn't is a "worthless coward". But then, I guess that's not too surprising, since he's also stated that gender affirming care should be completely illegal
. Not just for minors. Not just for people without gender dysphoria. Everyone.
I mean, he's really gone off the deep end. He's declaring an all-out war on the very existence of trans and gender non-conforming people, any anyone who isn't with him is against him. It's frightening and disheartening that he has the following that he does despite not knowing a lick of what he's talking about.
My heart goes out to all the trans people in America whose very existences are being threatened right now.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Schools in the USA frequently arrogate themselves the right to selectively apply constitutional freedoms. Since such freedoms aren't age-restricted they often fail in court, but you need to sue them in many cases.
