Discussion of religion in any other context is off topic in all of the "LGBTQ+ rights..." threads.

Thats because, speaking as someone who as a small child went to a hardcore evangalical fundamentalist church? Theyre ALL that goddamn insane.
You know those satirical shirts about the devil putting dino bones in the ground as a test of faith? They really believe that. or that the Grand Canyon was created by the Great Flood.
Look at that, it's even the first one.
I like that one with the periodic table of classical elements.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayFor something a little more on topic, how about a gay blood drive
? Part of an effort to get the FDA to catch up to the modern era.
Ooh, I can't wait until the Right starts to call for boycotting "gay blood".
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
Well,of course, since all homosexuals have AIDS.
x5 More likely taken from Hindu mythology, which is where Pratchett got it.
The medical committee is ridiculously overcautious. I don't think the gay community should take this will personally. I'm not allowed to donate blood myself either because I'm British.

The Hindi version has the turtle resting on a cobra. Presumably Pratchett felt that was too silly

hashtagsarestupidI think I will take it personally, thanks. The only excuse I can come up for the gay ban on blood donation is 30 year old horror stories. Aren't scientific minds supposed to be skeptical about horror, like in the movies? You know, the ones who always say "vampires don't exist" until one eats them and there is much rejoicing from the audience?
obviously not enough to be concerned about with the "general populace" joey.
I'm not allowed to donate blood for a handful of reasons, and sodomy is one of them. They'll take my dirty homo organs though.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"I could donate blood: I choose not to as the full etiology of my condition is unknown (for all I know, prions could be involved... and, like hell I'm giving anybody those if I can help it if they're even remotely possible).
But, the fact I could give blood (and organs) in a lot of places simply because I'm not gay is really worrying. <_<

I can't because I've had male-to-male sex, because I was in europe shortly after the mad cow scare (I was never in any risk of exposure, but the moratorium is there nonetheless and I respect that), and because I was in Japan a year or two after the H 1 N 1 outbreak.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"

I know, but every time I hear a quote from him he seems to be even dumber.
