When it comes to conspiracies, the devil really is in the details. Fluoride in the water? It's a Commie plot. The mortgage industry collapse? The Bilderbergers did it.
Decide what the clues are, how they would manifest in your story, and how the characters will follow the tentacles back to the source. Assign each tentacle to one of your conspiracies. It doesn't have to make sense, in fact the more nonsensical it all gets, the better.
Under World. It rocks!

Hey there. A while back I had a thread dedicated to you guys throwing out various insane and convoluted conspiracy theories to weave into my Conspiracy Kitchen Sink, Thirty Xanatos Pileup world, where the conspiracy aspect is intentionally played as over the top and tounge in cheek, with the reveals growing increasingly confusing as the story goes on. Since then, I've taken to weaving these conspiracies together into a general outline for the background of my world, and I was hoping for some critique, comments, and some re come cations on what other conspiracies can be added or expanded on.

The Order of the Illuminati was formed by Adam Weishaupt with the intention of bringing about the New World Order, a single government that would control the entire world. Composed of wealthy businessmen and bankers, the group is implied to have had a hand in most major events from 1776 to the 1940s, including the French Revolution. The group eventually came to envelop and control most of the major Masonic Lodges and their resources. The Freemasons, a group with mysterious but not necessarily sinister goals, were mostly unaware of the Illuminati's takeover with the exception of it's highest ranking members, who orchestrated the American Revolution to delay the worldwide unification desired by the order. Though the Illuminati eventually gained complete control over the resources of the Freemasons, America has been a thorn in the side for the Illuminati ever since.
Nevertheless, things went peachy for the Illuminati for a while. Down the line, there were a few minor conflicts with The Knights Templar, a group that controls the Catholic Church and preserves various holy relics for training the successor of the Rex Deus Holy Bloodlines to save the world when the end of days occurs (Which is coming any day now, according to the Templars. Of course, they've been wrong before, several times.) However, turned out that the conflict between the Illuminati and the Templars was due to a misunderstanding - once the Templars realized that the Illuminati were not the revival of The Illuminatus Movement, a society started by Galileo that was crushed by the Templars hundreds of years ago, the Templars decided to stay out of the Illuminati's business as long as they stayed out of theirs. The illuminati continue their evil plots unopposed until the 1940s. The Illuminati are on the verge of initiating The Pyramid Act the final step in achieving the New World Order, when Hitler, who was aided by the Illuminati in his rise to power, betrays the order to steal the Spear of Destiny from the Knights Templar. This provokes a war between the Illuminati and the Templars, and while the Illuminati manage to eventually convince the Templars that they were not responsible for Hitler's theft of their Holy Spear, the damage dealt to the Illuminati's resources throughout World War II sets the Pyramid Act back several years. Hitler is eventually assassinated by Templars to retrieve the Spear, and the Illuminati are left planning on how to recover from their losses.
While raiding a Nazi bunker, the US government stumbles upon several papers detailing conversations between Nazi generals and Illuminati higher ups, revealing the existence of the Illuminati to the American government. In response, Truman authorizes the creation of The Omega Agency, a top secret agency dedicated to monitoring global affairs and keeping the secret societies in check. In the years following WWII, Omega seized control of the Skull and Bones Society, a group which controls a majority of the US's drug trade. (Since then, the leadership of the Bonesmen have shifted continuously between Omega, the Illuminati and independent, and as such the goals and intentions of the Skull and Bones Society change constantly) Later, Omega formed a treaty with the Knights Templar, who agreed to stay out of the conflict between the Omega Agency and the Illuminati completely. This earned the ire of a group within the Templars known as The Ministry, who still believed that the Illuminati deserved to be hunted for bringing Hitler to power. The Templars kicked The Ministry out until they understood that training the Rex Deus for the soon-approaching end of days was more important than a petty squabble with the Illuminati.
The Illuminati attempted to recover from their losses by reaping the benefits of the Cold War and drawing the conflict out as long as possible, but this plan was prevented by the Omega Agency, who played a large role in ending the Cold War and bringing about the fall of the USSR.
During this time, the Roswell Incident occurs, and the corpse of the alien is put under observation by a group of CIA scientists known as the Majestic 12. When the studies reveal that the Alien is actually still alive, the observation of the extraterrestrial is placed in the hands of the Omega Agency, who have it transported to the secret base underneath Area 51 known as Bunker 52 for study. Though the Majestic 12 operation is shut down, the members of the Majestic 12 are left in the dark about the results and have been snooping around Are 51 ever since, trying to uncover the secret of what results their experiments yielded. The Omega Agency spends years experimenting on the Alien and trying to uncover its secrets. President Kennedy concerned and expresses in a meeting with Omega's head director that keeping the secret of the alien away from the American public is a breach of trust between him and the people, and expresses an interest in revealing the Roswell Subject's existence. Kennedy is shot a week later, though comically the Illuminati had planned to have him killed the next day anyway.
Though the Omega Agency claims to be dedicated to keeping the other secret societies in checks and keep the world in order, it's developing into a bit of a "he who fights monsters" scenario, growing increasingly more extreme in their methods of tracking down the Illuminati and eradicating them. Omega has recently resorted to assassination squads, super soldier serums, and are planning on developing mind control technology (Their first Mind Control Subject, Francis E. Dec, went absolutely crazy from the testing.)
By the time the story begins, the Omega Agency is working towards creating a covert hitsquad utilizing their experimental super soldier serum to take out the Illuminati's head members. The Illuminati, on the other hand, are conducting their second attempt to restart the Pyramid act, though the details of it are unclear to Omega at the moment. Meanwhile, The Ministry is trying to pressure the Templars back into conflict with the Illuminati, the Majestic 12 are trying to figure out what happened to the Alien, and the Bonesmen (currently in one of the brief periods when they aren't being controlled by the Illuminati or the Omega Agency) is trying to figure out just what the hell they're supposed to be doing in the midst of all of this.
Oh, and the Bilderburg Group is there, too. They're not really a conspiracy group, though - originally founded as a legitimate meeting for improving global affairs, the Bilderburg Group was quickly mistaken for a secret society and infiltrated by everyone else, who intentionally sidetrack and sabotage the meetings each year.

So, what do you Gus think so far? If you guys have any suggestions for new groups, try to think of what their relation with tge other societies already established might be. Otherwise, feel free to toss outback conspiracies to attribute to one of the groups, and some possible conflicts that could happen down the line between some of these guys. I really appreciate any suggestions I can get, since you guys really helped me out in the first topic!
