There was a slight scuffle in a bar, a voice crying out. Suddenly, a large tough looking man was thrown backwards out of the window covered in a black substance.
Mostly wood, the bar had two floors, one for an inn and the bottom for a bar. Five or six tables littered the room, with almost every seat filled by someone.
Inside the bar, a well dressed man picked up his fedora hat, frowning at a drop of ink on it. "Damn..." he muttered, and turned to the bartender. "Sorry for the damage" he started, drumming the table nervously.
The Bartender was too shocked to reply for a moment. His mouth opened twice, but no sound came out. "...that bad huh?" commented the reporter, and took out some notes. He counted out an estimate for the window and passed them across the bar.
Still no response, even from bills in front of him! Everyone went back to their own business, and Max picked up his pen, putting it behind his ear. Making sure no ink had got on his jacket, Max went back to his beer, taking a drink.
Inspirational quote against powerful image of nature.Kincadis was nothing like anyone would expect. Arriving in the massive Maraxus ship, he disembarked all by himself.
Hair styled down, no ridiculous outfit and no fish bowl. He looked around at the fortress, and smiled, "This is a pretty nice, big fortress...you guys are really doing your jobs well." The fortress was no Impel Down, but with so many people defending it, he felt lucky to be able to be here, in such a safe area.
He had heard a really strong pirate had been found, one who had eaten a Devil Fruit. He had become really excited and just ran off from the vacation some of the other heirs were on to see this guy for himself.
Ever since he arrived, everyone was really nice to him for some reason. As he entered the prison cell, he looked down at the pirate and asked, in a soft voice, "So, you ate a Devil Fruit...could we talk? Please?"
The man shifted a little bit as he hung there. In fact, if one were to get close enough, he could hear...snoring?
The man shifted a little bit and shook his head. "MM." he grumbled, under his breath. Looking up, he saw a new person in his cell.
"Well, hello little lady." his voice was a little gravely. Likely from not having a drink for a few days. "What can I do you for?" He also sounded a little out of it. he did just come out of a nap after all.
Kincadis' face turned a very bright red and he tried to smack the guy upside the head, going a bit crazy looking, "Little lady!? I'm a man you drunk idiot! That's a really unfair thing to say, I-I'm still growing, you know!!"
He turned away, pouting a little. A little bit later, he asked, "So, I heard you found and ate a Devil Fruit...which one was it?"

"Tale all ready spread of my devil fruit, hm?" The man asked, his head tilting a little down. Was he drunk, or tired? It was something of the like. Either way, he was out of it. "How on earth do people hear about my fruit. I haven't even used it yet..."
He released a loud yawn, his mouth opening wide before he looked up at the kid. "But if you MUST know, it was the Oto Oto No Mi, the Sound Sound Fruit."
Kin calmed down again and said, "Oto Oto no Mi, Sound Sound Fruit...hmm, that sounds like a good one. Hmm, I have always wanted to see a pirate face to face."
He looked at the guy, he did not seem like the voracious enemies he had heard about. All the same, if he had done something bad enough, he would be heading off to Impel Down or somewhere similar.
"Just between us, I got a Devil Fruit too!"
"Oh, okay, mine's the Burst Burst Fruit, got it from dad. Its a Logia, and it makes me able to do a bunch of stuff!"
He did remember from a lesson that a Logia class fruit was one of the higher leveled fruits, and that it supposedly gave the user very destructive abilities. The one he got, according to Akainu, was one of the high tier ones.
"Not big on fighting..." he gave a shrug. Yeah, he knew he was bad at fighting. No muscles, no speed, no real smarts. That's why his fruit was his most dangerous weapon. "But i am good at destruction if anything. For example, you'll be the first to see what my fruit can actually do."
And he took a very deep breath, his chest puffing out and finally shouted as loudly as he could. The scream was different of course.A wave of sonic energy rang out towards Kincadis. The wave slammed into the wall directly in front of them, causing the rock to crack.
Somewhere in the vast ocean lies a tiny island, mostly unknown by people, and non-existent on maps. That was because it was far from the normal travel routes, and more importantly, from afar it looked rather uninviting. It was a desert, but also a forest. A forest of cacti, to be exact.
Indeed, all sorts of cacti could be found there. Thin ones, stout ones, ones that suddenly bent over to skewer anything stupid enough to be there — and of particular notice was a cactus near the shore that was so big its needles could've been used to perform acupuncture on giants. It was not the sort of place one would live in (unless he had a secret desire to be constantly pricked) and so it was uninhabited.
Well, mostly.
There was in fact one inhabitant, and it was currently asleep in a small, simple shack, so simple it was practically only a roof. Beneath that roof snored a sheep wearing sunglasses and human clothes.
The sun began to dish out more of its warmer rays of light, and, unable to ignore the heat, the sheep woke up. Feeling the dryness in its throat, it lazily scanned the area and noted a round, plump, blue cactus near some sparkling, spinning cacti.
The sheep got up, ambled towards the aforementioned cactus, used its hooves to scrape off the thorns, and took a big bite off the top. It chewed absentmindedly while taking a glance at the ocean, decided that the cactus was not delectable, and spit it out.
It's worth noting that around this point in time the sheep had turned into a 24-year old woman.
The sheep-woman took a swig from the cactus beside her, and began to stare at the ocean again. She felt a mixture of exasperation, desperation and disappointment that, she realized with a jolt of horror, she was beginning to get accustomed to.

He shouted again, this one completely crumbling the wall in front of him and causing the iron door to slam down on the ground with a loud THOOM sound. He looked up at his shackles and snapped the fingers on his right hand, causing a much smaller sonic boom to emit from them. The shackle holding his hands above his head shattered as well, and he jumped to his feet.
"I will not lie though." Akoti said, rolling his shoulders around, "That was one of the best sleeps I've had in a while. No risk of getting robbed while I was out." he grinned over at Kin. "Nice talking to you. Maybe we'll see each other sometime!" and began to rush to the gaping hole he made.
He didn't have time to run really. So, looking over his shoulder at the Kids arm, his eyes widened. oh, he bet getting hit with that thing would hurt like a mother. His attention turned forward again and upon seeing several Marines rushing to him, swords and guns drawn.
Gritting his teeth, he skid to a stop. Well, either the marines, or Kin with the giant, glowing red arm that will likely hurt. So, lifting his hands up, he slammed them together in a clap, resulting in a shockwave rushing out.
The beam struck him, and he released a loud cry of pain as he fell to his knees. His back was smoking with a large red mark where his shirt was ripped. "Dammit...' he groaned. "That was my good shirt..." he stood up and shook his head. "So, we're naming our attacks, huh?"
He spun to face him. "Well, worth a shot I suppose. Um...Sound Sound....BLAST!" Shouting the final word, another hard shockwave flew to Kin.
He managed to get up a field of energy from the arm, and yet, he was still blasted backwards by Akoti's attack. He panted lightly after finishing skidding backward. He took aim at Akoti again and then let loose, "Burst Burst...Radiant Orbs!" Now he fired off a large number of red orbs of force up at Akoti.
Akoti was a little bit more "Prepared" this time around, wanting to avoid the large glowing red orbs of death. So he quickly dove off to the side, barely avoiding the attack and behind a pillar. His back was burning still, and it hurt to move almost. Wincing, he looked over his shoulder and behind the pillar. "That the best you got, Marine?" he shouted out. "Gonna have to try harder than that! Sound Sound...STOMP!" he stomped the ground with his right foot, causing the ground beneath them to rumble.
Kincadis was destabilized and almost fell down in the middle of loosing a Radiant Beam, resulting in him firing it haphazardly and causing a big explosion that sent him backwards. Even though he was smashed into a wall, he had covered himself in armor and got up, and finished, covering his face in the same armor, plus a visor.
As with most Logia users, he had a supermode he could call on.
He looked around for Akoti, and fired a larger Radiant Orb in the direction of where Akoti had been.
"This is not nearly all I got!! My heart is burning with a great fire!!!"

He had been on the move since he lost control of the beam. Standing still was bad against this kid it would seem. And let's face it, Lasers beat sound waves in almost every battle. So the only way he was going to make it out of here alive is if he somehow managed to get out and grab a boat. And fast. Sadly, his boat, or raft rather, was destroyed when he got caught. He'd need to be tricky.
Eh, he'd come to that in a moment.
So, in all the confusion, he rushed off into the middle of walkway, directly in front of Kincadis. "Hey! Kid!" he shouted. "Over here!"
The second the beam began to approach him, he grinned a little bit an lifted up his hand. "Thanks for the lift Marine." And snapped, causing another shockwave to erupt from his finger tips and set the beam off to explode before it touched him.
The explosion, however, did have it's benefits and disadvantages. The Benefit was Akoti was now sailing well into the air, looking to the wall he was sure to collide with. With another shout, the wall exploded, and was now free, slamming down and landing on the Dock with a hard crunch, likely from his leg.
He was free now, but now his leg was sprained or worse, and he was burned pretty bad from the rather botched escape plan. So, wincing, he stood on his good leg and found a single, one man boat off to the side. Limping to it, he leapt into it, crying out from the pain in his leg and entire body, and released another shout from his mout. It was enough to send him on his way until he needed to start using the paddles on either side.
He panted as the island prison began to shrink from his line of sight. The pain from his entire body finally caught up with him, and with a hiss, fell back on his back, shouting again.
Damn burn marks.

In the middle of the ocean, on a an island, stood a tall, ominous looking building. The sun shined down on the massive walls that loomed over the island as the waves beat down at the rocky ground below. Near the bottom was a bay, a dock that stretched out with various sized ships from the massive ones, to the single manned ones.
The building, of course, was a prison of sorts, set up by the Marines for the pirates they can catch and can't make it to Impel Down for various reasons, be it various weather conditions or something else that was in the way. Inside it looked like a regular Prison, with cells holding various pirates, all shouting something or the other.
"So did you hear?" One new recruit asked the other as they walked through the hall. "We got a new addition to the cells."
"Yeah, so?" he asked. "We get new additions all the time. Hell, other day we got twenty pirates alone. Good day, that was."
"Yeah, but this is important for a few reasons," he said, matter of factly. "Rumor has it this new guy they brought in ate one of the Devil Fruit!"
That made the other ones eyes widened. "A devil fruit!? And they managed to bring him in?! We must have lost dozens of men in the process!"
"That's the funny thing!" he said. "I hear tale he didn't even FIGHT. he just kinda...slumped over and let them take him in. He was in tight bonds when we got him too. So, either he's lying, or he his Devil Fruit is useless...I hear that's possible."
"Well, maybe." he said. "What's the other news?"
The recuit looked around for a moment and leaned towards the other. "Word has it," he said, "That there's a surprise visit coming. From one of the World Nobles kids!"
The man paled harder. Soemhow. "So that means we have a Devil Fruit user and a World Noble's kid showing up today?!" He gulped. "Oh this is gonna be a hectic day. If he finds even one thing wrong..."
"oh what could possibly happen?" The man waved off the worry. "I mean, we're armed to the teeth with guards, and while we're no Impel Down, we're still pretty good. Nothing is going to happen."
In one cell at the end of the hall was a single figure. He was slumped over against the wall, his hands hanging above his head in shackles. He was breathing, but barely. He wasn't moving, and his head was slumped over.
Ahhh, the beginning of adventures await...
