Yeah. We should have it so that we have one car per class as a maximum. That way, the Racers have a bunch of cars to choose from (as well as a reliable workhorse for when they're not racing in the Sports class), and the Police have a car in each unit they can call on in situations where they might need them.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."No breakage, no fixing, then. If anyone wants to add mechanical modifications, feel free to make it an alternate "weapon". If it's body works, vinyl/paint jobs, etc., I think you can go nuts as long as you're a racer.
If Paragon won't be rejoining us, I'd like to claim the Zonda for the Speed Enforcement Unit category; my prior concern with using it was based on the fact that it is so rare that even in an alternate universe it's unlikely for some organization to have more than one of it. In my own opinion, it's the most nimble car in the entire game, capable of delicate maneuvers while drifting—I never dare attempt some of the things I do with it in-game with any other car.
Maybe we can get a roll call of who's still in on this...
Maybe. Or maybe the only reason I'm suggesting it in the first place is because I've watched The Fast And The Furious films too many times to be healthy.
"Yup. That tasted purple."If you want Most Wanted style vehicle modifications, by all means. Do remember that some of them take up space in the hood, though, and that cops will frown on any major vehicle body conversions. Also be advised that some of the modifications found in Most Wanted and Carbon, especially race-spec ones, will not realistically survive the rough usage they get put through; for example, I read in a car mag that race-spec clutches are so thin they need to be replaced after every race. We shouldn't stretch reality too much (too much realism isn't fun, as we're all aware; to be frankly realistic, the tires on the supercars in-game probably wouldn't last five hours given the crap you put them through...)
As for the style of this whole affair, I haven't played Carbon, but Most Wanted has 2k10 beat. Sure, 2k10 is set in a larger area, but Most Wanted got more use out of the area it was set in. I miss the tight street corners and radical twists and inclines in Most Wanted; it seemed to take a greater expertise to drive well in that game.
Maybe the higher the Tier the less the mods.
You can utterly trick out your new Mitsubishi Lancer but your Koenigsegg CCR isn't going to have much available to trick it out with.

I'm also thinking (this may be radical-ish) of a slight incorporation of the NFS Shift "Works" system for the Cops.
Basically, in exchange for most car customization, if an officer requires more speed with their cruiser than is regularly possible, they can have their car Works-converted, that is to say "turned into a barely-road-legal speed machine tuned for chases".
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Sounds all right. Most of the cop cars seem like they were tuned up to begin with though, especially the higher tier ones.
If anyone wants to introduce an auxiliary "mechanic"-type character working for their faction during RP, feel free. I think we should keep the # of side characters reasonable, though.
If this is coming back, how about I take one of those side characters, whi could also be a good justification for why police chases are so frequent.
Basically, tells the racers how to avoid the cops (route-wise), instead running them together. For profit, seeibg as he's running a garage.
As for a location I'd say Carbon's city, in part at least due to the canyon routes and otherwise because Secreast County doesn't really have anything tight and technical.
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.

We can still cook this one up.
