Any questions, reply to this thread or PM me.

This post gets edited very frequently. Check back every now and again, although I will note any major changes.

At Seacrest County PD, ???

was debriefing his/her team.

"The latest big bust knocked the Racers back to the Stone Age. Good work. Unfortunately, seeing our success with the racers, the Government has cut our funding, reasoning we can do without it, and now we're on the same level as them, down to the Traffic Police unit."

Over at what was envisioned as the Racer HQ, Jimmy 'Stallion' Heart was making his ultimatum to the Racers, as his final call to arms before they were overrun.

"Right, guys. The cops hit us hard. We've lost all but our most basic cars, and it's time we started working together to stop the cops shutting down our races. Don't stop fighting for the win, but don't focus on taking everyone else on the track down."

Hot Pursuit is a Role Playing Game set in the Need For Speed universe, based around Seacrest County. There are Racers and Cops. There is nothing but the race and the fight to stop it. The world is your racecourse.

The roleplay is completely freeform. To make your character sheet, you require:

  • Name:
  • Affiliation: (Cop/Racer)
  • Rank/Wanted Level: Check the achievement list, anything between the named ranks is [rank below]II or III depending on how far above the last rank you are, e.g. Level 14 is Wanted, Level 15 is Wanted II.
  • History/Backstory:
  • Cars: (all cars outside of the Sports Series/Traffic police are currently impounded)
    • Sports Series/Traffic Police Unit
    • Performance Series/Highway Patrol Unit
    • Super Series/Rapid Deployment Unit
    • Exotic Series/Speed Enforcement Unit
    • Hyper Series/Special Response Unit
  • Custom Weapon: That's right, think up your own weapon. DISCLAIMER: Although the RP is freeform, do not try and give yourself a ticket to godmod. It will be squished. This weapon will replace one of your standard allegiance arsenal.
What side are you on?

My profile is as follows;

  • Johnny 'Stallion' Heart
  • Racer
  • Level 15 Wanted: Wanted II
  • Johnny gained his namesake for his love of his Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500, so much so, he had two of them, driving them at any opportunity given. His 'Super Snake' Shelby is the one that was impounded in the infamous Eagle Pass incident, after the R8 driver had a momentary lapse in concentration.
  • Cars
  • Slick Spikes: Rather than a spikestrip, Johnny's cars are equipped with a system that both puts down oil and hollow-point caltrop spikes on the road, piercing tires and sliding police out. However, this high-spread, high-impact design takes a lot more room than a standard spike strip setup, meaning two deployments are the maximum, as opposed to five.

Current Players, leaders in italics (Starting on 3 to an alliance)

  • Adam Bradley
  • Racers
  • Outlaw
  • History/Backstory: He liked fast cars regardless of their nationality. He also liked loud and roaring cars. Though he likes all cars, he considers himself lucky to have the cars he already has. His Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is the first car he bought.
  • •Cars:
    • ◦Sports Series/Traffic Police Unit - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
    • ◦Performance Series/Highway Patrol Unit - BMW M3 E92 (impounded)
    • ◦Super Series/Rapid Deployment Unit - Porsche 918 Spyder (impounded)
    • ◦Exotic Series/Speed Enforcement Unit - Dodge Viper SRT 10 ACR (impounded)
    • ◦Hyper Series/Special Response Unit - Koenigsegg Agera (impounded)
  • •Custom Wrapon: A high-range Jammer that jams all transmissions around the car for a very large radius, and for much longer than a regular Jammer, while still allowing around same amount of usages. Unfortunately, when I say all transmissions I mean ALL transmissions - you can't use radios, or power-ups, irregardless of racer or police status: not even Adam is immune. The jam lasts for 20 seconds.

I can down-grade the custom weapon's usages if need be. I figured the super-Jammer would be an unwieldy weapon due to the fact your allies and yourself lose your abilities.

I like your power surge idea. You're in. Although I now have to say;

Next signup must be a Cop, just to maintain balance.

Actually, if you want to be Racer, I will change to Cop.

UPDATE: Slight profile changes for me, Weapon lists added and Player list added.

Established starting threshold.

Sparty, I just looked over the car lists and the Audi TT-RS is a performance series car, not a sports series. Could you kindly change it to one that is in, or a car that would be on par with the sports series?

I'll need to go to the wiki to sort out my cars; my copy of the game's boxed up for when I move house.

Already using the SCPD page.

EDIT: And the Rally Racers thing's going to get worse; I've taken the Subaru as my first car.

The problem is that all my other cars are European Exotics, and the bottom tier Cop Cars are Muscles or Tuners.

Yeah, I've got a mix though, 2 Exotics, 2 muscle and a Rally car (that doesn't really fit into anything else.)

If all else fails, Ford Crown Victoria/Tarus Interceptor?

Then you can hide behind 'standard issue'.

All right then, let's see if this works...

  • Name: Jon “Sakura” Rose (Squadroom Nickname or callsign?)
  • Affiliation: Cop
  • Rank: Sergeant 3rd Grade (13) (I'm not taking team lead, before anyone asks.)
  • History/Backstory: A British ex-pat, Jon came to Seacrest fresh out of university. Or at least, that's what he tells everyone, and it's not strictly true. The fact is that he's actually a former racer himself, and joined County PD as a way of getting rid of the spectre of possible arrest. His background as a racer meant he showed more skill behind the wheel than most of the other drivers in the Traffic unit, leading to his being fast-tracked.
  • Cars:
  • Custom Weapon: Can't think of one.

[up] My own faux-pas for stating that the Police leader was the sergeant, when there are a lot of ranks above Sergeant (Lieutenant, Undercover, Captain, Pursuit Agent and Ultimate Enforcer, to be specific.)

But still, I don't see an issue, stick with your standard armory if need be. I could also get the creative juices flowing and try and make up one for you.

Exactly. This is what happens when you dump a British guy in an American police unit.

Okay, adding the starting scenario in here for kicks.

Racers: Attending a gathering organised by Stallion to save the Racers from being completely wiped out by the Cops.

Cops: On patrol, having a conversation through the radio; It's been a quiet day, and then they come across a gathering of people with a selection of not particularly slow cars...

Confrontation ensues.

Suggestion Weapons (Replaces whatever you want it to):

Police Turbo/Jammer: the other side's weaponry on your car. To fight, you must adapt.

Pulse Jammer: A very short range EMP that damages and slows any vehicles in the immediate area around the car. Does not disable weaponry or comms.

Shred-Proof Tires: Passive upgrade, car is unaffected by spikes. Repeated spiking (about three hits) will stuff the tires regardless.

Torchlight: Very high-powered searchlight, useful for blinding a driver. Battery charge limits uses.

I'd say that the run-flats should only be able to take a limited number of spikings. Otherwise it just becomes broken.

I've played Hot Pursuit before, and although its not possible in-game i was curious enough to ask: Would it be possible to play as an Undercover Cop? I'll gladly trade my Custom Weapon for it if i need to, and then i could give deadbeat my idea for a Custom Weapon to use if they want.

Nice idea, nice idea.

A bit of a problem being communicating with the other Cops, but the Racers aren't going to be completely united anyway. They still want first place. Not a team in the sense of the Cops.

Throw us a sheet.

And why throw away a Custom?
