[up]Wrong show. We're talking about Sealab 2021.

That one. Dangit, I thought I had them straight.

So, can someone explain who this character is? Is he a bad guy taken over, or a good guy gon crazy?

[up]Captain Murphy? This should sum him up:

So, is it just because Sealab is next to meaningless to me, or was that ultimately kind of a pointless and sad crossover?

Hey if Archer is in the same universe as sealab 2021 that means we finally know the exact date it takes place. 8 year in years into the future.

[up][up] There were a lot of bonuses for people who watched Sealab, but ultimately if you don't know anything about it won't be as good.

[up] I think it takes place in 2023, considering there was a two year gap between the events of the show and this episode

I imagine the cabbages are a reference to something.

I was always okay with Archer being set in the present day, with Mallory having insisted on a 60s design scheme or something. And the KGB still being around because they only wanted you to think they were disbanded with the USSR.

Character's backstorties seem to suggest it takes place in the 60s but. What with Archers mother and Butler taking part in WWII and WWI respectably. wild mass guessUnless the World Wars are still going on and the Germans just want you to think they lostwild mass guess

[up][up][up]I think the reason why they couldn't is because Adam Reed doesn't own the show rights.

So I found this on the Wikipedia article about Sealab 2021:

While the show contains many references to the pop culture of the 1980s–2000s (decade) and appears to be set in the year 2021, John F. Kennedy is President and Robert Kennedy is his Attorney General, suggesting that it is in fact still the early 1960s.

[up] Well the show it was based off of was made in the 60's IIRC, so it kinda makes sense that JFK and RFK would be around. Eternal Presidency maybe?

i was hoping Murphy would be crazier.

he ended up sounding more like the guy from The Rock he's right, but is forced by bad government to go to the extreme.

also, The Abyss shoutout archer drowning to save Lana was touching.

but why was lana, the WORST swimmer, forced to drag archer?

also, New York to Bermuda in a CH-47 would take all day and require refuelings.

they should've used a hovercraft or ekranoplan (an ekranoplan can be crashed like a plane, allowing Cheryl to pull her crazy off)

can't wait for next season!

So is this show... any... good?

I've been thinking about watching it. Are there, like, twenty two twenty-two-minute episodes per season on this one?

It's nothing you haven't seen before. Boy raised by ex-military butler to fight the enemies of freedom using neat gadgets. He has a playboy image, but problems relating to girls. Etc., etc.

Also in this series: Gun Safety and Ninjas. All worth watching!
