I think the current image shows the trope well. It's a face broken off of someone turned to stone. It's not gory. It shows a person in pieces. I think most of the cryo freeze ones are more violent, and aren't really recognizable as people anymore. I'd rather someone turned to stone, and the face really helps get the trope across.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI agree. There aren't enough pieces to indicate that it was broken off a once-living, then-Taken for Granite creature.
Hmm, and apparently this isn't something you can just GIS.
Would that T1000 image

Belief or disbelief rests with you.The first thing that came to mind is the programs getting shattered in Tron Legacy, but I think a T1000 pic could work as well.
That's actually a good image from Negima, I'm surprised. I suggest cropping the speech bubble out. And finding a higher quality scan if you can.
Fight smart, not fair.I think it might work better with the text cropped out. But it's okay now. This has more to do with the fact that text immediately draws my eye away from anything else in the picture.
Fight smart, not fair.
Agreed.
The Tron one is okay, but I find it a bit problematic that everything is the same color.
Reaction Image RepositoryI'm okay with that one. If you think your manga scan would be better, I'm willing to look.

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:

Need to see that someone is being killed (preferably with a before and after picture). Doesn't have to be too violent. Something like a death from Tron Legacy or Sub-Zero's fatality from the SNES port of the first Mortal Kombat (that was supposed to be non-violent but was clearly so badass that it was used in the sequel).
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.
