Oppose: it's better to have quotes that actually demonstrate what purple and beige prose are like, rather than just writers exchanging Take Thats over them. Feel free to add them to the quote pages, though.

Eh, I'm okay with both quotes as is.

I prefer both existing quotes.
- It demonstrates the trope right there at the top. That's good.
- There's a short joke at the end.
- It's an example and writing advice that leads to other examples.
(Is it just me, or was the Beige Prose article written by Rorschach? I hear his gravely voice.)

I'd say that Beige Prose needs some help with X Just X.

Alright, I put'em both on the Quotes pages.

I was thinking of switching the page quotes of this and Beige Prose for quotes by Faulkner and Hemingway.
Specifically, I wanted to put "He has never used a word where the reader might check his usage by a dictionary," said by Faulkner about Hemingway, on Beige Prose, and "Poor Faulkner. Does he really think big emotions come from big words?" said in response by Hemingway, on Purple Prose.
Thoughts?
