It's both the funniest and unfunniest tv show on, the same episode can have the very best any very worst writing.
The last new one I saw though (Chris and Meg switch places with Peter and Lois) was pretty decent throughout though. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of Meg abuse, at least.
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!In my opinion, Family Guy has always been a decent show. The writing can get pretty bad, but it can also swing around and be pretty hilarious. So some of their jokes are in bad taste? I agree, that's terrible. Most of its pretty decent, though, and those rare gems will just have you cracking up.
Family Guy has it problems, yes. It also has its merits. As such, I try to catch it when new episodes air.
It could get better if it stopped being an Author Tract. I doubt it's going to happen
"Take your (...) hippy dream world, I'll take reality and earning my happiness with my own efforts" - BarkeyI honestly prefer the more recent seasons to the first three.
Don't look at me like that,I know every character has completely changed directions but I find them funnier this way Yes even Stewie. Honestly I found the Evil Stewie kind of a Flat Character and given I have similar belife's to Brian he doesn't annoy me as much
I the agree the writting is constantely changing quality

The smartest idiot you will ever meet.Yeah, Family Guy is very hit and miss. When it hits, it's decent. When it doesn't, it's just weird. And that's pretty much what a lot of comedies go through.

Yes, this is technically a snowclone, but I still think the point stands.
I just watched the latest episode, and they seem to have made Brian less of a Black Hole Sue, and they didn't have very many Manatee Gag examples IIRC.
