The first one I'm going to add is from Detective Conan. Heiji/Conan (or Shinichi Kudo, whichever)
Obviously, the whole yaoi thing isn't going to allow that to happen (age isn't so much an issue due to Conan REALLY being a teenager). But whenever they get together, they spend almost all their free time together and jib each other like a couple. Not to mention that the first time each of their potential girlfriend's meet, Heiji's girl (whose name I can't remember) thinks that Ran is actually Kudo because he's all Heiji ever talks about...so it must be a girl...
"Yo, those kids are straight up liars, man. All I told them to do was run product. And by product, I mean chewing gum."I'm not really sure what canon ship Mami/Charlotte is superior to, also. I mean...I guess you could ship Mami/Madoka as a senpai/kohai thing?
Tumblr here.^ Even if she's still alive/in the afterlife, she still even thinks so.

If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.L/Matsuda. They play well off one another, and if L does indeed have a crush on Misa, he seems to have a thing for rather silly people.
Additionally, Beyond Birthday/Light. They are both psychopaths who consider themselves above ordinary humans. They'd have a great dysfunctional relationship.
Persona 3: Mitsuru/Shinjiro.
Both have relatively little dialogue during the game's events and represent two entirely different worlds. Their friend, Akihiko, is the interstice between the two. He comes from the same upbringing as Shinjiro, yet manages to make a name for himself in high school, a la Mitsuru. One could compensate for the other's weaknesses, and so forth.

Do crossover ships count? Because Shinra/Mao makes so much sense it's not even funny.
One's a kinky mad scientist that's sexually attracted to weirdness, has masochistic tendencies, and doesn't care who knows it.
The other's a kinky mad scientist that's sexually attracted to weirdness, has masochistic tendencies, and doesn't care who knows it.
Both of them are very, very weird.
Both of them tend to mix scientific fascination with sexual arousal.
Shit, I think the only thing that'd stop them from strapping each other to the operating table and doing combination sex/vivisection is figuring out who gets to get cut open first.
Also, Chikage/Shizuo. Chikage does very silly things to make girls (read: Erika) happy, Shizuo's desperate for romantic affection, they're both pretty chill with each other, and Erika would probably pay to see this in action. BOOM! Instant one night stand.

Tenma/Johann. Johann's fondness of Tenma is quite evident, and throughout the series, Tenma displays a surprising amount of concern for the Johann: He saved his life twice and refuses to kill him, despite the fact that he's fully aware he deserves to be killed. For some reason, though, people act weird when I propose this.
^This is anime/manga.
Along those lines...Beyond/Mikami. Two incredibly insane minions (if you consider Beyond to be a sort of follower of Ls).
I'm writing a less usual pairing for Azu-dai, too, but I dunno if I'd call it crack.
OP: I don't think yaoi or yuri is inherently crack, especially given how willing some creators are to include fanservice to grab some Periphery Demographic appeal. Though it really depends on the creator.
And for me one example is Scar/Olivier for Fullmetal Alchemist (manga/Brotherhood version), pretty much entirely based off that one scene they have together in the last chapter.
Two stoic, principled badasses who can be incredibly ruthless but are utterly dedicated to defending their own people.
The owner of this account is temporarily unavailable. Please leave your number and call again later.Shino/Hinata. It would never happen because of Hinata's thing for boisterous guys and ol' Buggy's underdevelopment as a character, but from what little we see Shino really does seem like a nice boy, albeit a very serious one. He's got a few similarities to her dad and the other Hyuuga clan members, like his dour solemnity, but he also has several key differences - the most important of these being that he seems to be the kind of person who values accuracy and efficiency in word and deed. Somehow I can't see Shino telling someone they suck and are an embarrassment as a motivational tool, unless he knew for a fact that it was the only way to get that particular person to buckle down and do the necessary work.
Thus, to my mind, Shino strikes a good balance between the comfortable familiarity that victims of abuse sometimes seek out and the whole being-a-good-person thing.
... hm. Y'know, I hate to say it, but I think this might actually be less of a crack-pairing than NaruHina. Think about it; Hinata's Naruto's distant admirer whom until recently he just thought of as 'that nice, hardworking - if a little weird - girl from when I was in school whose cousin I had to give Not-Being-An-Asshole lessons'. But Hinata and Shino see each other damn near every day - she probably knows way more about him as a person than she does about Naruto.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!

The Most Logical 'Crack' Pairings: I'm not talking about the second or third option for Canon pairings, obviously those aren't quite considered to be 'crack.'
I'm asking if anyone out there wearing Shipping Goggles has noticed a pairing or two that the Mangaka would obviously never consider (due to it being yaoi, yuri, threesomes or just involving minor character with a main one, whatever) but, logically, make more sense as a couple than the Canon pairing (or second option).
PLEASE actually include an explanation (and the name of the anime/manga), not just the pairing listing.
