Rika smiled, putting her skin back on.

"I can't thank you three enough..."

She stared, deeply and intently, into Masuyo's eyes, her cheeks still glowing ever-so-slightly.

Masuyo smiled back at Rika. All that blushing was pretty cute. "It was no problem, Rika-chan! It was cool just to get to fix you up, and that was just a bonus to saving you. And you're cute, so that's a big plus too!"

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

Rika bit her lip.

"Could you please try not to blink, Masuyo-chan? I'm trying to scan your retinas."

"Eh? Uh... okay, sure!" Masuyo replied. It was a bit of an odd request, but Rika was a robot, who probably needed to do that kind of thing for some reason. She held her eyes open as long as she could.

Lydia looked to the door where Arashi had just pointed. "Mist's a little on edge. She's had a lot of surprises today, poor girl. Anyway, I was thinking of heading down to the library soon. You want to come too?"

The library? Lame... Arashi tapped her chin. However, I'll probably need to know where that kind of stuff is for classes and stuff.

"Lead on, Lydia-chan!" she replied, clapping her hands together.

Yamato glanced at Tsubame momentarily, looking thoughtful. "Hm... well, I suppose I could, but learning magic is a difficult process."

The water sphere then exploded, drenching Emilia. Chuckling, Yamato helped to syphon the liquid, reforming the water sphere for Emilia to manipulate.

"Case in point," Yamato continued. "You would need to dedicate yourself quite diligently, if you wish to cast any form of magic."

Lucy had a blank look on her face at Arnedo's explanation. "... So... they walked through a door?" Lucy finally asked.

Folding her arms, Lucy wondered where exactly they would have went. How many doors were there in this place? And where would that door lead..?

"...I got it! They're in a closet!" Lucy announced loudly, much to the chagrin and confusion of everyone else. "Thanks sir!"

Lucy then proceeded to hurry off, looking for closets to find and search, not once stopping to process what she was even doing.

"Oh...but if I do I could learn how to turn invisible or make a potion to make people tell the truth like in the movies, right? That'd make it so much easier to get a big story." Tsubame said, her mind going in a rather interesting direction with this possibility.

Arnedo did a Face Palm, and he went after her, and he whispered again, "No, No, they opened up a part of a wall which is not supposed to open in that way."

Minato ran after, deciding to keep the two from causing any more trouble together than they would apart. These two sounded like they were gonna cause a lot of trouble in here...why did all this stuff have to happen to him?

"A-Ain't that like a horrible violation of priva-Woah!" Emily tried to point out what she saw wrong in the intrepid reporter's plan... however the water sphere in her hands exploded again.

"...The wall?" Lucy repeated in confusion. "They can do that? Wow, the things you can do with ma-ah, um... 'mazing tunnels! Yep, those things!"

Idiot... Lucy mentally berated herself. Turning her head away, Lucy finally spotted an 'authorised personnel only' door.

"What about in there? Maybe that's where they went?" Lucy asked.

Patiently syphoning and reforming the sphere of water once again, Yamato replied, "Well, if you're willing to put in at least twenty years of work in order to perfect invisibility spells and potions, I suppose I can only applaud your dedication. Concentrate, Emilia."

"EHHH?! H-how long?!" Tsubame was stunned that anything could take that long to learn.

Lemme see, 20 years, plus 14... she began counting on her fingers. ...I'll be almost halfway through the average life expectancy by the time I'm done!

"There's a way to do that faster, right?"

"Alright, follow me." With her new friend in tow, Lydia left her room and headed in the direction of the library. "I haven't been to the library yet, but I hear it's the largest in all of Japan."

Arnedo nodded, and looked over at a very confused Minato, the kid could find out on his own if he did not know, but the potential latent energy inside of him meant he had some nice, if frightening potential. Whoever was keeping him in the dark should have been convicted of something, Arnedo thought, that kind of power could be used for some interesting stuff.

The teacher scanned the door, looking away from Minato and seeing that there was an enchantment there. That will not do.

He dismantled the enchantment after a little hard work, one of the things in life Arnedo hated the most.

He whispered to Lucy, "I'm in the know."

Minato got a strange feeling from whatever they were doing and he started to wander over. Arnedo just looked back at him, "Can't you go on look at something else? There's a few secrets you might not want to get in on in here..."

That triggered Minato's curiosity fully. He knew something weird was going on by how the teacher was talking in dark whispers to this girl. He smiled widely, "Boy do I ever want to know what's goin' on in there now. And besides..." He became a bit more serious, "I never run away from things like this. I keep running forward."

Arnedo sighed, kids there days...

"Ah... right. Yes, professor!" Emily said, ignoring Tsubame's aspirations for a moment as she dedicated her all into maintaining the small sphere of water.

Thankfully for her, the third time turned out to be a success. She wondered for a moment why it had been so hard before since on this try control over it came rather easily.

Smiling slightly, Yamato replied to Tsubame, "Well, if you have an immense amount of talent as well as dedication, I suspect you could cut development time drastically. I'm not sure how much, but it could be as short as a year's worth of study."

Seeing Emilia maintain the sphere, Yamato nodded and said encouragingly, "Yes, that's it! Keep it that way for a few more moments! After that, we'll go for-"

The teacher suddenly frowned and glanced in the direction of the door in confusion. Had someone interfered with his spell? Yeah, he couldn't sense his magic any more.

"Girls, stay here a moment please," Yamato said, and moved to investigate. It was probably nothing really, just another teacher wanting safe access, but one could never be too cautious, especially when one if the students with him shouldn't know about magic.

Lucy was stunned at the words Arnedo whispered to her. Shocked, Lucy stared dumbly at the teacher, unable to believe it. Eventually, she croaked, "...You? You're one of them too?! Wha - how - eh?!"

Someone like Arnedo was a wizard too? Wow. Was every teacher one of them as well? Were they all in on this magic thing?

It was then that Lucy noticed the boy following them, and immediately rushed to cover what they were doing. "There is nothing behind that door! Just remedial lessons! Boring, annoying, pointless, completely normal lessons!"

"A year?" Tsubame parroted. "That's definitely better than twenty!"

The blonde had been about to ask another question when Yamato moved away to check something out. Stay here? Is it something dangerous? Ugh, why'd I agree not to use my camera?! She needed to distract herself before she did something stupid like following him.

"So, Emi-chan, how long have you been doing magic?"

Arnedo looked at the boy and sighed. It would be really bothersome to try to keep him from finding out about it.

Minato just kept walking, "I want to see though, you guys are making a big deal about going back there. I gotta see what's back there."

"A-Actually... I really don't... I never learned... I don't know any Japanese" Emily said with an awkward smile while avoiding Tsubame's gaze in slight embarrassment "I had my instructor carve me a little charm that lets me understand and speak Japanese... Masuyo smiled, and placed a hand gently on Rika's shoulder. "You know what, Rika-chan? We're gonna make sure you never get your memory damage, so even though you took those scans, you're never going to have to use 'em."

Rika was the first humanoid robot Masuyo had ever encountered. That, and she was fragile. And adorable. Masuyo really wasn't too keen on letting her have to use those retinal scans.

"I only saw it from the outside," Arashi replied, recalling her time spent wandering around, trying to find the dorms. "It really was huge! I'm not surprised that it's the largest in Japan."

But there are only so many books in the world... Arashi's eyes lit up. What if they're hiding something in there, like a water park, or something! That'd be awesome!

Highly unlikely, but awesome.
