"R-right, but it probably had more books on photography. This place is useless as far as that goes." the blonde responded, showing that ancient history wasn't exactly her strongest subject.

Yamato chuckled at Emilia's reaction. It was to be expected, after all. How many libraries were there that were this enormous? And that wasn't even getting into the sections barred to normal library-goers.

"You probably haven't looked hard enough," Yamato told Tsubame as he walked onward. "Sometimes it can be hard to find what you need here, but it should be around."

Lucy had tried sitting idly, had tried searching some more for the kitten, and had even eaten a lot more of her ice cream in a vain attempt to pass the time. Her mind was still reeling from the morning's revelations. Her room mate was a witch, her home room teacher was a wizard, and she wasn't in any immediate danger of being hunted. Which was nice, but she had bitten Emilia. Surely she would at least tell Mr. Ishida? What if he was the one that got her kicked out?

Okay, that seemed impossible. He never seemed to get angry over anything, always preferring to have people talk their problems over. If he was a wizard, then surely he knew about vampires? What if he knew about her own vampirism? Ugh, things had gotten too complicated!

So, Lucy had decided to simply confront him about it. Demand to know if he knew, then beg the guy not to kick her out of the school. She wanted to last until her third year, at least, before her lack of ageing became too obvious and necessitated a transfer...

The young vampire marched from her dorm room, walking steadily instead of maniacally sprinting like she always did. It didn't occur to her until after she left the building that she wasn't sure where Emilia had went. Did she even mention that? try as she might, Lucy couldn't remember.

"... Darn." Lucy sighed. Well, this wasn't going to stop her! Oh no, she had to see Mr. Ishida! She would just have to search all of Mahora until he was found!

"Well," Masuyo started, thinking for a moment as she started to tie her hair back into a ponytail. "There was that one who had that longer name, but I don't know a lot about her since that was a while ago."

She couldn't recall the name, which was a bit annoying but otherwise not a problem. She finished tieing her hair up and flipped her goggles down, before beginning to get her tools out.

"You're definitely unique!" Masuyo replied, laying the tools out carefully, along the side of the table, so she'd have everything she'd need right there. "You're clearly a different model, and stuff."

Rika laughed a little, then sighed.

"Thanks, Masuyo-san, but that's not what I meant... I meant does the world already know I could exist, or not? I don't want to have to hide, but I don't want to find out the hard way that the world wasn't ready, either..."

She smiled nervously.

"I'm sorry if this is a boring thing for me to worry about. Maybe we should talk about something else... Ow! Careful with those wires, they're hooked into a sensor array... So, um.... What kind of fruit do you like? I can't eat, but strawberries smell nice."

Sarah spoke up after having fiddled around with the computer. "If you can smell you've pretty much got taste down as well."

She went about the assisting tasks necessary to the other two. While she was in the club this was not actually her main focus and so did not have as much practical expertise. Though this renewed interest has made her receptive to any learning she can accomplish right now.

"You know, there are some spirits that linger in this place, taking that 'bookworm heaven' thing quite literally." Yamato joked, walking to the end of an aisle. On the far wall was a door labelled 'Librarians & authorised Personnel Only'.

"What we're looking for is through here." Yamato explained. "Plenty of books you'll never have heard of, and you'll find that this place is far bigger than even all of that." He waved his hand at the entire library behind him.

Keeping his voice low, he continued, "Of course, we're not going to go all that far in - no need, and quite easy to get lost, really."

With that, Yamato opened the door.

She giggled, as she flicked through the pages. Dark was her dress, and her boots, and her staff. A dark mask upon her aswell, which made her blend in with the darkness of the depths of the magic library. A time that had seemed an eternity bound by an humiliating curse, just like the Dark Evangel of lore. But this time, he would find the one book that would free her, the book that would unleash her own power and restore her form.

Voices. There were voices in the library. It was not good. She dropped the book and fell back to a safe place to observe. That oaf of the magical teacher and what seemed to be their highschool lolis. That would complicate things.

"Kitten!" Mist said as she stumbled upon furball as soon as he opened the door. The cat was buried in Mist's chest again as she jumped back and forth. It was then when she noticed the other student, and her fluster became evident.

"i..uh...thank...you..." she said. "Andnowexcusemeigottago!" She blurted in addition, speeding out due to her embarrassment.

"Deeper than probably necessary," Yamato shrugged as he closed the door. Muttering under his breathe, he cast a minor enchantment upon the door. Anyone attempting to open the door from the other side would suddenly 'remember' something urgent, which should be enough to deter others.

This area looked somewhat similar to the 'public' part of the library, with several lines of shelves. It was mostly to convince anyone who might have tried to sneak into this part that there was nothing unusual in the library. Just more books.

Yamato led the girls forward a little more, leading them through rows of bookshelves until the came to another, wider area. The space would be suitable for practising magic.

"This should do us, then." Yamato said cheerfully. "So, anything you want me to go over with you, Emilia?"

The search was proving rather difficult, much to Lucy's dismay. Of all the times Ishida had to be hard to find... why now?

Marching slowly through the streets, Lucy sighed dejectedly. Did she really have to wait an entire weekend just to find the guy? That was too long a wait! No way was she going to risk biting Emilia again! Vampirism may have its perks, but she was also vaguely aware that not everyone was particularly receptive of being stuck as a fourteen year old forever.

Lucy stopped as the library caught her eye, and realisation donned on her face. Of course! That was where Ishida always had his remedial lessons, right? Maybe he taught magic in there, too?

Lucy rushed into the library, earning some disapproving stares, especially from those who knew of her lack of proper volume control.

"Mr. Ishida?" Lucy called, oblivious to the cringing of others. "You in here? I need some help, really badly!"

"Yes, professor. I need to figure out a good system in order to properly summon and contain a deep sea dragon" Emily said in a totally serious tone. Her intentions were clear... with such a feat she would probably be accepted once again in the Magical Academy in Wales... However...

There is no need to say that what she wanted to do was at a level far beyond anything she could aspire to.

As the kitten's owner stammered her thanks, Arashi immediately wiped her hand on her pants and extended it toward her for shaking. "No problem! Name's Ara-"

"Andnowexcusemeigottago!"

"...shi." Skipping a beat, but otherwise completely undeterred, Arashi turned to the other student and thrust her hand toward her. "Name's Arashi Shimizu! Nice ta meetcha!"

Minato chastised himself for following after this girl he had barely just met, it was kinda creepy, and it reeked of the Dulcinea Effect or something to that effect. He had a book on German Swordsmanship in his right hand. He did just leave her be after she went into a section, and he walked back off and sat down at a bench to continue reading on German Swordsmanship.

That girl, he thought she was called Tsubame, was an expert on piecing together details and making hideously inaccurate rumors, so most likely she would slander him a little more for this. Rumor Mills working for the school newspaper...that was hardly new.

Little did he know, he was not alone in looking for Emilia in the library. As soon as that door closed, a lingering shadow vanished as well, reporting where they had gone to Arnedo Moloch. He was getting a lot of strange looks from everyone. He kept walking, eventually crossing in front of Minato. He got a very eerie feeling from that teenager.

The feeling was reciprocated. There was something very odd about that teacher, Minato thought, and it was not just his choice of appearances. He would normallly feel like laughing at such a ridiculous looking person, but...

There was definitely something even more off than the hair, the make up, the eye liner...now that he thought about it, Emilia did not feel exactly normal herself. How could he tell this? He had no real idea, but it was getting curious.

Arashi laughed heartily at Lydia's verbal backspace. "Shi-! Ha! 'Shimizu-san' is my father's name!" She straightened herself up and flicked some hair from her face. "Call me Arashi-chan! After all, we're friends now, right?"

"So...uh, what's up with your friend, there?" She asked, poking her thumb in the direction the other girl ran.

Yamato raised his eyebrows in surprise. "...A deep sea dragon? That's... ambitious..." He finally chuckled, pacing thoughtfully. "That might be hard to teach at the moment. I myself have only been able to summon a creature that wishes it were a kappa, but I think I can help with the summoning magic."

Yamato stopped and faced Emilia. "Summoning, as you may know, requires vast amounts of energy, power and control. Too little power, and it either won't appear or feed on your very life to sustain itself. Too little power or control, and it may just rampage."

Holding his hand out, Yamato began to pour water from his bottle into his palm. Instead of simply splashing all over it, it began to form into a perfect sphere.

Holding the water sphere up for Emilia and Tsubame to see, Yamato said, "I believe 'control' is the most important aspect for now. No point on working on power or increasing your energy until you have a better idea of how to properly control magic.

Yamato stepped forward, holding the sphere out to Emilia. "I want to concentrate on maintaining the shape. Once you can keep it as a ball, I'll move onto some more complex shapes, okay?"

Lucy, having been silenced by the library staff, had searched the library for Yamato and Emilia. they should be there, right? Where else would Yamato hold lessons?

...Then again, would Yamato teach magic in a public area? This seemed like a dead lead.

Sighing, Lucy made to leave, when she saw Arnedo. That teacher had always been quite weird, but Lucy never went out of ehr way to avoid the guy. Then again, she never made much of an effort to speak with him either.

"Sir!" Lucy called, temporarily forgetting that she should be quiet. Rushing towards him, Lucy asked, "Sir, have you seen Mr. Ishida anywhere? I really, really need to see him!"

Tsubame stared at the water sphere, her hands making the motions of taking photos of the strange sight even though her camera was safely out of reach.

"Hey, sensei? If you can teach this sort of thing, then if it's not too much trouble, could you maybe teach me some stuff too?" she asked, after all, she had nothing to lose by just asking a question.

Emilia's disappointment was quite evident in her face, though she received the water sphere. If she thought about it, it was more than reasonable for Yamato to want to test her abilities before he taught her anything too flashy...

Well this is a simple exercise. Come Emily, it should be fairly easy for a student of the Welsh Magical Academy!

... Were her thoughts... though the moment she exerted her magic on the water sphere it grew in size just a little bit before exploding like a water balloon... totally drenching her.

"...Kuhh!" However this didn't stop Emilia as she tried to recreate the water sphere with the water that now covered her.

Arnedo looked over at Lucy and thought on this, they had gone behind a wall door, and were very likely doing something in secret. He wanted to figure out what. What if that girl was a relative of accursed Springfield who defeated him once already?

Minato looked at Lucy, something about that girl too felt strange. Like she was not a normal person. It was oddly alluring, though.

Arnedo said in a low whisper to Lucy, "Well...Mr. Ishida went into a part of the library with Emilia, but when I looked one minute, they were there, and then something opened, and then they were going in, and then they were gone."

If only I could have said that more...ominously. More deserving of respect...ahh, what a bother.
