This is just me, but V is more or less superior to IV. Yes, a few of the characters are gone, and the story is obviously incomplete and even though it does finish its own arc, it's still rather truanted compared to, say, III. (which is still more than IV got, but I personally excuse IV since it always came off to me as a "climax" than a full adventure)
The gameplay, however, is probably the best since II and the character creation is improved compared to IV.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I'm mainly interested in the character creator. I hope later games lift the 50 character limit (Either a really high number like over 100, or just making it limited by your diskspace rather than the game's own limitations).
So V's customization options don't affect the stats? I thought V was the one with Rainbow Pimp Gear.
Anyway, I hope an eventual VI comes out on the Wii U, since that's the only new gen system I plan on getting. I really just wanna make tons of characters, and maybe get into the story from there.
For the record, I did play II, though I didn't pay attention to the story. The gameplay was pretty fun, though. I was Cervantes.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Alright, maybe I will get it after all. I'd probably get it today if it wasn't for the fact I don't have my PS 3 and 360 anywhere.
Also for guest characters, Ezio sounds pretty cool....but I still personally feel that nothing can compare to star wars. Sure they don't fit, but it's still a just bloody awesome.
Five's out, so I doubt 4 will, unless it's like a Updated Re-release like they did to 1 and 2.
I'd rather say they do a Wii U SC 2 port too, make 6, or make a Dream Match game (a ampile solution to everyone's problems. I like SC 2 Cassie, so let me use her against SCV Viola!) And implment that tag mechanic back in the game. Tag games always adds a nice touch.

Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.No, the Rainbow Pimp Gear was IV. Nothing you equip in V determines stats, not even weapon.
You kids are so spoiled. "50? That's too few!" Back in III, we got a grand total of 6 or so, and most of those spaces you had to unlock.
II didn't really have a story outside of the character profiles setting up what everyone is doing at the moment. Most of what we know happened in II comes from III actually.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Didn't II give detail on what happened after 1? Like, each game sheds a little more light on the previous games.
I know, right? Back in my day, we had FIFTEEN ten slots, and we had to walk uphill both ways to get all the classes. Hell, 3 of my slots are empty, and only 5 of the characters I made got regular use. I was never one for remaking a character from somewhere else.
I made a bunch of characters on Soul Calibur 3 back in the day. The ones I remember are Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Marik, Bakura Cloud, Sephiroth Scorpion, Sub Zero and Kratos, which is Hilarious in Hindsight after the PSP Soul Calibur game had him as a Guest Fighter.
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierMaybe I should try making a wossname in V; a thing that's, like, a recreation of a preexisting character.
Okay, isn't there a slang term or something for that? :/ Gaming terminology's letting me down here.
Ponders too much; thinks too little. Currently goes by Knowlessman.Hmm. I am not sure how close you can get, but in terms of moveset, you could at least attempt to make a Taki (Natsu), a Sophitia (Pyrrha Omega), a Arthur (Mitsurugi), a Xianghua (Leixia) and maybe a Setsuka (Alpha Pat).
Sophitia is probably the best bet, considering Elysium gives you her hair style. Also, Leixia and Pyrrha Omega do unlock Xianghua and Sophitia's starting weapons (Pyrrha Omega because she pretty much has all of Pyrrha's weapons except for Pyrrha's 2P weapon, and Pyrrha has Sophitia's sword and shield)

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I've seen one hell of an Amy that a friend of a friend made.
EDIT: Also, I meant characters that aren't from the games, like my sister's boyfriend's Boromir for instance.

For some reason I had more fun with that than with making original characters. Then again, I don't get ideas for custom characters that often.

I did that in SCIV to match characters up with their respective joke weapons: Golf Open Hilde, Flamenco Raphael, Baker's Helper Cassandra, Nude Apron Sophitia...
...Then I found out that making new costumes for existing characters uses up the same 'empty slot' pool as the custom characters, and I stopped doing that because I preferred making new characters.
I really hope that whenever the next game comes along, it allows for as many characters/costumes as you have disk space.

Sophitia's joke weapon in 4 was 'Love', pretty much just a ladle and pot lid. Putting the apron costume piece (female only, I believe) on without anything other than the default underwear underneath removes the top, making this fetish-tastic edit possible. It also made the apron all but useless for anything else, if I remember correctly, as it could not be put on if any of the significantly-covering upper body pieces were equipped as well.

Pics or it didn't happen.
Nevermind.

Voldo should be in a purple pimp suit. As should Ivy.
...Why haven't I made Ivy's SC 3 outfit black yet?
The sad, REAL American dichotomy

Returned the buggy PS 2. Could not return the PS 2 controller I'd gotten from the second place, despite having purchased it less than 24 hours previously. They'd forgotten to mention to me that there was no return policy. They did seem to have time to persuade me into getting the more expensive controller, though.
Note to self, never go to CGX again.
Now I'd have to go a town or two over to see if I can find a working PS 2, and unless I find somewhere that'll buy the controller, I'll be out $10 needlessly.
I just wanted to spend today having fun with one game. It's supposed to be my day, dammit. Is that so much to ask?
