Namco will be looking to clean that mess up. They are already off to a good start.

I did wind up buying the game on Steam given the sale. Now to get a better computer at some point.

So I'm still willing to give Patrokolos another shot. Even if I did thought Pyrrha was eons more appropriate as the protagonist.

I'm seriously considering buying every dumb dlc this game is offering. I really want this game to do well.

This is the second fighting game I really like and wanted to take time learning, but ugh...it feels like the matchmaker wants me to quit.

Seong Mina probably has longest set of quick time event buttons for an ending. Most characters have one or with nightmare a single button mashing session. Seong Mina has about six separate buttons that need to be pressed over the course of the ending.

Funny. I remember a post I made years ago asking how people would have felt if SC was 2d instead of 3d. I recall someone replying it'd be more like Samurai Shodown then. Now here we are with that games lead character as a Guest Fighter here.

That sword slashing flesh sound effect is identical to the one in Onimusha: Warlords 20 years ago.

Maybe it's the same in a lot of games. I never noticed before.

Haohmaru is way too natural to not be in Soul Calibur

The previous season had 3 returning characters, and 1 new guest.
Major characters from 1-4 who have yet to return: Hwang, Aeon Calcos, Li Long, Rock, Setsuka, And Yun-Seong.
Possible newcomers given the story and era so far: Bangoo.
Possible new guest characters: Unknown.

Most likely 2 remaining season 2 characters: Rock and Aeon Calcos.

Well from the slots one seems to be a hero and another an antagonist, or at the very least are searching for the swords. Aeon is already in the game so i feel like itd be weird if he was the only one of Nightmare's gaurd not allowe in

As much as I love those two their inclusion isn't going to set the world on fire. I expect they'll go more out-there on inclusions instead of building up the roster with old staples.

I mean, maybe one or the other though.

What they mght do is Bangoo and Lizardman. But it's really bizarre that they didn't just launch with Aeon Calcos, given he's in the game.

Still can't believe Lizard Man isn't in the game yet.

If its Aeon & Bangoo for the sake of a theme, then that would be pretty awesome to see Bangoo debut. Even if it doesn't really make any sense, pretty sure the kid around 7-10 years old. I would feel pretty sorry for Rock if that were the case as well.

I would be pretty disappointed that once again, Hwang gets ignored.

Plot twist: it's Necrid and Charade.

I'd enjoy Charade. I was actually tempted to list him since I've always been a fan, and it could combine the Grieve Edge and Wave Sword moves like it had (in different turns) in Soul Calibur 3. In fact, aren't Charade, Inferno, and Edgemaster the only mimics to show up in multiple games?

I remember Bangoo would've made more sense for SCV as far as age range. But for SCVI, at the absolute lowest he's 7 years old, if he befriended Rock when he was an infant. But it makes more sense for him to be at least 12, given the images of him in Soul Blade he looks to be about 5.

You know what would be the real curveball? Canonizing more of the sciv extra characters like Shura and Scheherazade. We know from scv that ashlotte is canon so what about the others?

Ashlotte should've inherited Spawn's moves, if they decided they didn't want new styles.

Most supporting characters in the stories we have so far already show up in each other's stories. If there's going to be a new story, I'd have liked Chie (Taki's friend and fellow ninja, Li Long's wife). Salia (Siggy's and Hilde's friend, leader of Schwartzwind) would also be cool, but she already appears as being minor.

If Setsuka returned, I feel like she might need a new or expanded story, since she could be interesting, but at heart she's just a Satellite Character. Maybe she might include elements of Arthur's character or story?

I mean, they were able to add a lot of depth to Voldo, after all.

I have no idea how they'd play (I probably wouldn't want more than one mimic in the game), but I'd absolutely love for Charade to come back!

Such a cool idea for a character.
