Inspired by Aut Omnia Aut Nihil and Nobilis.

When the first amphibian worked up the courage to step on land. When the first ape decided to climb down from his tree and nest on the ground. When the Pyramids where erected, when the world shook with earthquakes, when the years passed in an endless cycle of celebration and hangovers. They have always been there.

They are the Incarnates. Concepts made flesh. Death, Time, Anger, Fire, the Ocean. Everything that is, was, or will be has an Incarnate representing it. Naturally, there are a lot of them. But the majority of them stay out of the way of mortal affairs, content to dwell in their demenses and do their job in quiet contemplation. The Incarntes have lived in relative harmony with mankind for as long as any of them can remember.

Until The Twelve came along. A group of twelve Incarnates announced their independance from the other Incarnate's rules and laws. Said rules and laws are rather lax, so if The Twelve wished to be free of them, then their intentions must be.. well, bad. Very bad. Hence, a group of Incarnates now gathers in the demense of the Incarnate of Unity do discuss what to do about The Twelve.

And the chracter sheet:

[up][up][up]Sorry, Time's not available. You could take, say, a smaller aspect of time, like Minutes or Days.

[up]May wanna' add a bit more detail before he's accepted.

Do these nescessarily have to relate to things organic or magical, per say, could someone choose technology? If not, I'll just go with lightning, if thats ok.

Name:Wacky Wally.

Aspect:Classic Cartoons.

Appearent Age:Hard to say. It's difficult to judge the age of a cartoon character.

Appearent Gender:Male.

Abilities:Wacky Wally has all of the abilities of your average cartoon protagonist. He can pull weapons and comedic props out of seemingly nowhere, though he prefers to fight with two cartoonishly large mallets. He can also bend and warp his body to a ridiculous extent, making himself as flat as a pancake, incresing his strength by moving more mass into his upper body, and other abilities. He can also take ridiculous amounts of punishment, including gunshots, severe falls, and point-blank explosions. However, his abilities only function if the effect is comedically appropriate.

Personality: Wacky Wally is, well, wacky. He never, ever takes anything seriously. He's physically incapable of feeling sadness, anger, or other negative emotions unless the outcome is likely to be funny. He's an insufferable prankster, though said pranks tend to be lethal, since Wally has no conception of normal human limits. Overall, he's a friendly guy, a bit soft in the head but good to have around in an emergency.

Appearance:Wally looks like a black and white cartoon representation of a human. He stands at around 5'4, though it varies slightly at times. His hair is pitch black and almost completely flat, with exactly three hairs sticking up in the back. His eyes are black, lilypad shaped dots. His head is almost comically big and cylidrical. His mouth is constantly twisted into a friendly smile and his cheeks are dotted with exactly three freckles each. Wally always wears a plain white button-up shirt with black suspenders and pants. His shoes are also black, with a small spot of white near the toes. His limbs are long and gangly. Well, not gangly. More like noodle-ish. His arms end in Four-Fingered Hands, constantly clad in a pair of white gloves.

Other Details:Sounds like Weird Al Yankovic filtered through an old timey speaker.

Is Death available, or is he (or she? :o) one of the mavericks? Or just too overpowered? I think I have an interesting take on the concept.

And here is the guy.

Name: Grim. He prefers simply being called Death, though.
Aspect: Death
Appearent age: Late twenties/early thirties
Appearent gender: Male
Abilities: Snuffing the life from anything living (not Incarnates, obviously), Sensing how close someone is to death, postponing someone's imminent demise.
Personality: Grim is a bit of a control freak, insisting to keep a close eye on as many of the deaths in the world as possible, making sure it all happens as he planned it in advance. This isn't as much a case of wanting control, it's more that Grim firmly believes that the world benifits from such micromanaging.

On the other hand, Grim doesn't live entirely for his job, although it keeps him busy pretty much all the time. He's got a passion for boardgames that basically goes untended to, but reserving some time to pick that hobby back up is high on his to-do list, he's just not certain if it's worth the degree of control he'd have to give up.
Appearance: Grim appears to be a young man in a typical early 21st century office worker clothing, a pale blue shirt with a darker blue pinstriped tie. He's roughly 5'7 tall, and built wholly unremarkably, in fact the only thing at all out of the ordinary, by human standards that is, is his eyes who are bright red. He also has what seems to be a perpetual 5'o clock shadow on his rather narrow face.
Other details: Mostly stays to himself to tend his job, and save the odd round of Chess, Risk or some other game, he doesn't really comunicate with the other Incarnates much.

Almost every time I sign up for an RPG, I'm ultimately unable to make constant appearances, and end up bailing without a word even if I do manage to read all the posts I miss. However, that doesn't mean that I'm not going to be trying to do my best when it comes to this thing.

Name: Innis

Aspect: Instability (technically Stability in all forms, but that's not as fun)

Appearent age: Early 20's

Appearent gender: Male

Abilities: Can willingly alter the stability of both practical and theoretical concepts. While it sounds boring, it has a variety of applications, from causing a lovey-dovey couple to suddenly break up due to emotional stress to halting a volatile chemical reaction.

Personality: Innis used to be a quiet, antisocial fellow. After some horrible event in the past Chaos talked him into that he only refers to as the "Big Bang", he tried to limit how much he directly influenced the world around him, and allowed things to become unstable naturally. But one day, curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to get a little more involved in the world around him. He's now a lot more open about his emotions and tries to play well with others, but constantly worries about what havoc he could cause by pure accident, and how stable his own mind really is.

Appearance: Though mostly unskilled when it comes to science, Innis's favourite outfit consists of a white lab coat worn over a black shirt and pants combo. His height is roughly 5'6", and has a little too much pudge around his waste to qualify for "skinny". However, the parts about Innis that really stand out can both be found on his head. His vibrant, shoulder-length pink hair is in constant disarray, and a blue-feathered opera mask covers the area around his blue eyes, though the burn marks from the "Big Bang" it originally covered have long since healed.

Other details: Dislikes it when people mistake him for Chaos, Mayhem, or Insanity. Subconsciously adds a non sequitur to the end of long pieces of speech.

@Screwloose:About the same as ours, though it may change depending on how much influence the Incarnates exert over it.

Okay, I'm thinking either Disease and make him look like a plague doctor, or do the Incarnation of Garbage and make him a Wreck-Gar expy. Though then he might be too similar to Wally.

Disease might be interesting, I'm pretty sure Grim would have a bit of a troubled relationship with him. Sure, the two concepts are closely related, but quoth Grim. "Every time you go on one of your little tours, it throws my spreadsheets into wild disorder and I'm busy for weeks."

  • Name: Tzaraath
  • Aspect: Disease
  • Appearent age: Unclear.
  • Apparent gender: Male.
  • Abilities: Can infect people with any type of disease, can craft new diseases with any symptoms he chooses, can shapeshift into a multitude of shapes and sizes (including microscopic) to spread disease.
  • Personality: Tzaraath possesses a dry, acerbic wit, often putting others down for the slightest of mistakes. He sees his duties as a vast game of something almost entirely unlike chess, with him on one side and mortal doctors on the other. Quite enjoys thinking up new, terrible diseases, and laments the passing of the bubonic plague.
  • Appearance: Upon first glance, Tzaraath appears as a typical medievel plague doctor: dressed in a long black coat and wide brimmed hat, with a bird-like mask. On second glance, one realizes that that is not a mask, and his face actually is bone white with a long beak. Wears large pince-nez spectacles over his eyes.
  • Other details: Despite his literally sickening nature, he actually smells faintly of potpourri. Adept at the violin.
